You could turn this into a series and every week or however often, do a 3 minute video concentrating on one specific thing. All about posture and breathing, warming up, scales, where people go wrong, i think that'd help a lot of people. I always wished i had a Broadway voice but i think that's something most people are born with or train early on haha
she's a really good teacher

I found this very helpful, Evynne. I have a BA in vocal music performance and so much of what you said reminded me of my lessons from my vocal coach in college.

Awesome! Yes, I learned a lot of this in college too Bob Souer
Only three minutes but you helped me understand things that I've been trying to figure out for a few years. I only sing for my private enjoyment, but the straight line made SO much more sense. Thank you!
I sing better in my head ... I sing just like the people I am intimating :D in my head.

I love this idea! I've been in choir for almost 6 years, and I am just now starting to get better with the whole, tall vowels, and breathing, and when I audition for a solo I'm learning to relax, and not worry because my voice always cracked, but it's starting to become more like what I sound like in the actual choir, and my teacher is so happy that I'm getting over my fear of singing in front of people :D
I am SOO happy to have found this. I just turned 71 and want to sing better with more breath control. I had to start using a CPAP machine a few years ago because of my night breathing problems, and I know that during the day my breath control is getting smaller. I'm going to set up my laptop on the electric piano and start practicing every day. I haven't gone to your other sites, but I hope that you have found a way to sell voice lessons that are basic for old choir members like me whose breathing is shrinking. PS I have been a fan of you and Peter for about 5 + years now, and try to get the high school and middle school kids I drive, that are in choir, to listen to your KZreads. Keep it coming!
Thank you so much! I was taking voice lessons, but then my teacher's husband lost his job and she had to up the price. You are an awesome teacher!
I just wanted to say a heart felt thank you! I know these videos are a little old so I don't know if you will see this but thank you thank you! After a long illness, haven't been able to sing since September, I am finally able to sing a little bit. Not only are your singing videos great technically but they are a great reminder to NOT try to jump right back in to where I was before I got sick. It's okay to build back up. I don't "do" anything with my voice except entertain friends and family but I truly missed it and you are helping me get it back. THANK YOU for being generous with your talents and teaching!
Thank you so much I showed my parents my singing now and they were soooooooooooo happy
I really needed this as a refresher! It's been a full year since I've sung
Thanks so much for this! I've had a couple months off from choir, and I've become so lazy with exercising my voice and staying relaxed, so this video really helped me to start singing in a healthy way again!
I totally never thought to watch your videos on how to sing and just watching this one has explained soooo much to me! Thank you!
Wow this teaching of yours is so PRACTICAL! I LOVE IT! 🥰 Thank you so much! ❤️
Thanks for making this video!! I would LOVE further videos!
Fantastic! I would love another video like this!!
I am enjoying this review! Thanks Evynne! Singing with our whole hearts open. I love you and your husband's songs, and look forward to seeing all your newest videos.
Evynne, thank you VERY much for your lessons! They're so helpful and you're AMAZING! Thanks!!!!
You are so much fun to watch. Thank you for those valuable tips!
Such great information! My confidence increased while watching and trying what you suggested!
This is absolutely perfect! I've had people tell me how to improve, but they don't really know how to sing themselves and I'm like....mhhh whatever. But your voice is amazing, and you're this kind of person who no one can dislike, there's something peaceful and nice about you. So great tips, I hope you post more of this as it helps a great deal.
I've seen so many videos of warm ups & yours is the first that is pleasant to the ears. Trying to teach choir during this distance learning time, your beautiful tall vowels & motivational words are exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Loving your vocal lesson, as a teacher I have learnt so much from you. Thank you
Thanks Evynne! I had 9 months of voice lessons when I was 15, but kind of stopped singing after a while. Now 26 (and learning the violin), I'm thinking of getting back into singing! I'm so glad I found your videos; they are really making me feel excited and confident about singing again! I am a first soprano, but I can also sing really low (my normal speaking voice is fairly low). My biggest challenge has always been that transition between chest voice and head voice (and vice versa), so I'm intrigued about this 'twang' technique of yours...I've never heard any real advice on how to smooth that transition. So I look forward to all your future videos! Thanks again! :D
You are an amazing teacher! Thanks for all these helpful tips!!
I am so excited. I just realized that you offer these short lessons. I have been really wanting to get back to toning up my voice. I have been wanting to take voice lessons again, but this is a great way to get back into things. My voice is pretty tired from keeping after my kids and from lack of good exercise. I look forward to practicing "with" you. it is a totally different experience when doing it with someone else. thanks for offering these videos. They may be just the small snips of encouragement I need. You and Mr. Hollens are such a pleasure to hear. Have a great day! Regards from Italy...
Thank You Evynne. Your voice is amazing and I love your video's. I am now a 'senile soprano' as an 80 year old who is NOT senile but my voice is. I used to sing 50 years ago at weddings etc but I'd like to start again just singing for myself. I will practice your lessons. Your rendition of Disney songs was sooooooooooooooooo beautiful!!
Thanks Evynne. I'm a barbershop tenor in addition to my 'normal' singing, and although I know the techniques it's great to have a 3 minute reminder! I'm six weeks post op from a spine reset in my neck which required anterior (frontal) surgery. This has produced scar tissue to the left of my vocal folds. I am almost back to my top c required head voice, but there is tightness as I reach my upper ranges in chest and head. Your reminder will certainly help me before I rehearse.
yeah this is definitely awesome, thanks for sharing these visual tips, you rock.
Omg i love how you demonstrate and actually give visuals i am an aspiring artist and i am extremely excited about finding my voice thank you
I would love to see more tutorials! Can't wait to get more in depth with this!
Great speaker and positive energy.
Love watching your videos Evynne. Thanks so much, you are so amazing. Appreciate your singing lessons, extremely helpful.
I love how you teach warming up! It is the same what I learned in my choir! So glad to review it from you :)

Great tips Evynne!
This was really helpful and encouraging. Thank you :)
I've been wanting to watch this for a long time and finally had a chance (while my kids are sleeping and I'm up late with laundry). I particularly liked the tip about the straight line (instead of going up). I can't wait to watch more of these videos!
I love what you do
Through out all the voice lessons on youtube that I have seen, she makes singing fun!!!! Haha

This brought back so many memories! Definitely think you should do more. :D
Loved it! I haven't practiced in too long and you reminded me on some very important things. One, i need to worth on my breathing. Two, I'm a Soprano, and three, I need to WORK on it! Thanks again.

Oh I really appreciate this video I love to sing. Ever since I was little my mom and I would have to drive a half hour to an hour to do food shopping every week and we would just sing and sing the whole way and she was so awesome :) we would repeat song if I hit the wrong note and try again she was just awesome :) I always wanted true singing lessons but :( couldn't afford it. I have been following you for awhile now and all your vlogs have truly helped me in many ways. I just want to say thank you! OK wow long story so hopefully u stuck with me and have read this far lol because I want to say I hope u definitely definitely do more of these !!!!! :) You are a wonderful person thank you for all u do ! OK bye :)
