So just "formatting" the SD card automatically sets it as the default storage?

Tried this on my Umidigi Active 1 phone tablet running Android 13, and sadly doesn't work. The phone has serious limitation of having no option for sd card being formatted and used as phone internal system storage and limited to portable storage - for heavy large file multimedia processing/production, a serious issue and limitation.

I just got a new lesson today,

Dammit! I wish I knew this a year or so ago...I don't think I formatted my SD card when I put it in... I'm manually checking every all to transfer over... and there are several I can't move because I didn't format when I first got it... and if i try now, it'll delete everything on it... smh. This sucks!

How to make internal storage as primary storage again? 😊

please what if I have some videos and pictures already on the SD card and I clicked format what will happen? does it mean am going to lose all my videos and pictures on the SD card? and also lose those on my internet storage too if I click the format? that is why am afraid of clicking on the format since, please reply me

Yes, all the files you have in the sd card will be deleted

Well, the problem is there are currently 12 different versions of android. Most settings are different. !
