Yay! What size enclosure are you planning on getting?
Ive been building a custom enclosure for my veiled. Its made of wood and will be sealed but its 5 ft tall, 2ft wide, and 2 ft deep. It will be fully bioactive so ive been looking at a lot of builds and this is the most indepth video! Love it!

Glad I could help!
You are the best. Thankyou for sharing your knowledge
I built a 2x2 planter box, 10 in. Deep. 2x2x4 screen on top. Threw my large monstrea in there with syngonium, Pothos, croton, and some ferns. Spring tails and isopods in my own soil mix. Been cycling 2 months. Ordering chameleon next week.

If I had the skillset to build an enclosure I would totally do something like that! And kudos for cycling it for 2 months. Where are you getting your cham from?
I've just set up my Bioactive enclosure for a Panther Chameleon that I haven't even got. I want to make sure everything is going correctly before introducing the animal. I've done it with some tree frog habitats so hopefully it works for this one!

That’s so exciting!! This is the perfect video for you then :) I’ll also let you know that I offer enclosure reviews which a lot of people do once their enclosure is set up before they bring their chameleon home: www.neptunethechameleon.com/book-a-call
I enjoy your videos I’m looking to get a chameleon soon your videos are very informative

Hope you enjoy it!
I didn't think about pond liners when I did mine. I bought a utility tub from lowes took out the bottom panel of the screen enclosure and sat it on top. Glued some mesh over the drain to keep substrate in and it's been working great for about 2 years. It's not the prettiest look but very functional lol

It's cool that there are so many different ways to set up the enclosure!
How long should I set my misters for?
It looks like you used two different types of substrate. One was darker than the other with the biodude Tera firma. I have the same enclosure as you and redoing it and thinking of bioactive since it’s hard to keep the humidity up at night here and it’s hard to clean mine since I have so much stuff in my enclosure. Just wondering you used two bags (36qt) of the bio dude Terra firma? And you got your spring tails and isopods from josh’s frogs? (They’re quite expensive on bio dudes
Question could u make a list of what plants you have at the top middle And bottom of your chamleon enclosure. Would make alot easier to set up cages to. Thanks for all your awesome videos ❤❤❤

I already have that list on my website 🤗 Hope it helps! www.neptunethechameleon.com/plants
Has anyone done this for a caged 36×36×18? Been considering doing a bioactive for a chameleon so this was really helpful. The egg was layed in april so I have time but i'm trying to get ahead of the curb

It’s the same process with an enclosure that size. However I’d suggest getting an enclosure that is taller and closer to 48” so that you have more vertical space to achieve the proper temperature and UVB gradients.
Question, when you say drainage layer in the soil, does that mean you have a drain hole(s) in the pond liner?

No! The pond liner is what makes it waterproof so you don’t want to poke any holes. The drainage layer would go in between the pond liner and the substrate and consists of LECA/hydro balls and a substrate barrier/mesh.
Hi there, I wanted to ask about an enclosure I built for my baby male Veiled Chameleon the enclosure is 23.6 length 17.3 width 31 height, its odd lengths because I use Centimeters which was 60x44x80cm with also a huge bonus as I had all materials on hand so it didn't cost me anything to build it. The enclosure has mesh on the top and sides with Perspex on the back as well as the two Perspex doors on the front 😁 Is it okay for my Chameleon?

I think that’s awesome you build your own enclosure! The ideal size would be 60x60x120cm so your current enclosure is too small :(

@@NeptunetheChameleon I'll certainly look into enlarging it. Additionally, I have a question regarding shedding; I saw that today he wasn't interested in eating, although he did eat yesterday. Could his lack of appetite today suggest that he's nearing a shedding period?
What is your email so I can send you my enclosure setup...I'm just worried that I made it too dense with the plants!
