Just because they have a beard or tattoos doesn't mean it will change their interests and other things. Also I can tell this person has never been to a reptile expo, most of the people including women are covered in tattoos. So the comment is very odd to me. Personally I'm against tattoos but I'm just saying I don't see how that defines what people are interested in

    Dude that is sweet! Unfortunately my frogs died a few years ago and I havent felt like messing with it again. But Im getting the itch thats how I found your video. I would call mine a vivarium since I had about 3" of water with small fish. It wasnt easy getting land over top of water. It worked but it was not the cleanest since alot of the substrate would bleed into the water. I may go with a small pond this time? Cheers

    @@mightymorphingreptiles it's a kind of fern that grew together and can be cut down and when watered it grows moss and other plants also can grow in it. (Sorry I'm not really good at explaining 😅) and I'll be getting Dendrobates auratus 😍

    @@larakoch2156 sounds like a good plant I’ll have to look into it. My best friends has a auratus and I know he says the blue aratus are typically shy and hide a lot. But the green ones are pretty bold!

    This is so inspiring! How often do you mist the moss to keep it from drying out? I so want moss in my little vivarium but it seems hard to get it to grow and stay lush.

    This is an awesome vivarium. Makes me feel like the one im working on is shit cause the only plants I have access to is walmart plants and cant order anything cause all i have is cash lol. Trynna do a budget build so unfortunately that means I cant go all out. Doing a budget build cause I have just enough money to get all the conditions for the dart frog, but cant go over the top to make them that much more happy. Nevertheless they should do well once im all done. Got like 2 big plants and 1 golden pothos. Just ordered an auto misting system and humidity checker. Now just gotta get a lid and light. As well as some wood for them to climb on

    Okay maybe you can help me, I got my dart frog vivarium set up with plants and a reptirain mister, using the bioactive 18x18x18 with the drain at the bottom terrarium, the soil seems to be too wet so much so a lot of my plants have died off, the humidity keeps dropping, and there’s mold spots on my moss slurry. What am I doing wrong, and what do I do?

    No, I'm not. they don't need it to live but some uvb can be beneficial. Supplements are def a must.

    Sorry if this is a really silly question, but I'm in the UK, it can get really cold here, especially in the winter, do you have any advice on heating and the like? Since our ambient room temperature can be as low as 5c in the winter :)

    Can you give me a source for cork , & driftwood? They are so expensive on line! Also, I found brown silicone but it does not say “ Aquarium safe” - is that ok to use?

    Hey there I could try to add some Amazon links in the description. However, if you want to find the cheapest and best deal you’re better off to getting them at a reptile expo. Also in my experience all silicone is considered toxic until it cures out all the way. You will know it is fully cured out when the fume smells is gone. I have used brown multiple times and all my animals are fine since It was cured out. Other people may state otherwise. However, this is my experience.

    It is amazing yeah I misted it at least twice a day to keep it alive. I’ll eventually have to make a separate video on how to make it and grow it in a vivarium

    Good luck on your build. Wrap around the stem of the bromeliads in moist sphagnum moss and it will root eventually!✌️😎

    Use silicone for aquariums. Home Depot sells it the glass and plexiglass area . It has no mold killer in it. This guy used one with 10yr mold killer, not good. At about $100+ a frog , why chance it.

    For the silicone is it ok to use the ge silicone 2? I heard that its bad for terrarium. But some people say its ok to use as long as its fully cured. Did u see any problems when using the ge silicone 2?

    I’ve heard that too! I’ll keep it real any silicone is “Dangerous” if it not cured out., or if it’s not. People say you can’t use silicone if it’s not “Aquarium safe” this tank has almost been up for 9 months and everything is thriving!

    @@haroonsaliem3094 best tip I can give to you! If there is a fume smell still coming off then your silicone hasn’t cured out safely yet! When it’s done smelling like that then you’re golden!🤟

    @@haroonsaliem3094 is say at least 24 hours but sometimes it can take a lot longer. Go off by the smell

    You can do something similar for ooophaga but they like it taller. like an 18x18x24 taLL be great for them.
