I use QR control on the App Store. Designed to control modes of the GoPro LABS software

You dont have to scan the barcode. each time. If you use this camera only with this mode(dedicated, maybe mounted on drope) you can set the movement detection command to boot sequece. The remote is not good solution. While flying it wil go out of pair and it takes quite long time to make it automatically paired again once the remote is in range again. Also it is not reliable and many times you have delays when pressing buttons.

"set the movement detection command on boot"... Can you type it so ordinary folks can understand what you mean? How do you "set the command on boot"? Which buttons do I press?

This could be fantastic, as long as it's 100% dependable. Since you can't really check to see if it's recording once you are in the air, you have to trust it 100% - finding out that it didn't start recording after you're landed would be pretty annoying. Also, you have to remember to put it into this mode... so how is this different from having to remember to press record?

I agree, making sure this mode is enabled is just about as hard as remembering to hit the record button in the first place. :) So many great flights never get recorded. Such as shame. Though I think some of those are just fish tales like the one that got away :)

@@5zero7RC You can make it auto run the IMU Trigger command upon the detection of power, handy if you power the camera from the drone. Never need to remember. If you have a non-naked GoPro (still have the screen) you can be even more certain by loading the command automatically on any start up. Ask how in the Labs forum: community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Labs/bd-p/GoProLabs

What mounting bracket are you using for your gopro? The one I'm using seems to create a lot of vibration.

I use a 3d printed TPU mount that I found on Thingiverse and then modified the design to fit my frame.

Voice commands drain the battery a lot and I typically fly from inside my car, so I'd have to open the window and yell at the GoPro anyway and just guess that it heard me or not. :)
