@@naturalnadinee I made the breakthrough, try Ethiopian butter you can make it by pouring half heavy whipping cream and half white vinegar into a bottle and shaking it until it hardens into butter or pour them into a blender and let it blend until butter forms, make sure you pour a little more white vinegar then the heaving whipping cream, the white vinegar keeps the butter from smelling after some hours, you can also add some essential oils if you want a refreshing scent
I did my wash day last Friday and included ACV with the DC😱😱 Today is Wednesday and all but my edges (because they're exposed to friction whenever I wear my bonnet) are still as hydrated as they were on Friday after the wash 😱😱😱 I'm shook!!! Hello, I just stumbled upon your videos (in the middle of the night) I’ve been up watching them all night. I have a few Olaplex products and I’m definitely going to add the No 0!! Also wanted your opinion on how often should deep conditioning be. Every wash or once or twice a month? I will definitely try this method! Just one question: What is about silicons in the deep conditioner? Can the deep conditioner include silicons or is it better to use a DC without silicons

Hi! honestly its something i just experimented with until i found a method that my hair loved! just mianly based on my research on the PH of hair and ive been obsessed with keeping my hair at its optimal PH. Thats when the ACV came in really hope you see some results xxx
Great info Nadine! I wonder if you have tried using a deep conditioner with a low pH? We make a hair mask that is low pH for this very reason, so using ACV would not be necessary. As a Certified Cosmetic Formulator I can share that conditioners and leave-in conditioners are made to an optimal pH of 3.7 - 4.5 (max) so using ACV would not be necessary, as over time ACV can be way too acidic and weaken the hair further. I'd love your input on this! Thank you and keep up the amazing info! (love the video you did on "why black people do not have low porosity" and could not agree with your more! Big love 💝

@@naturalnadinee well, shampoo pH should never be too low (best at 5.5 or even 6) as it will touch the skin and if it's too low it can irritate the skin and also damage the delicate microbiome on the scalp. But conditioner and leave-ins yes! Hair itself loves a low pH 💝
@naturalnadinee

@@obloom depends! I was a bit afraid to wear my hair out straight from the shower like that (no LOC method, no additional products), but I also wanted to experiment. As my hair dried throughout the day, the curls formed beautifully and my hair felt super soft, mainly towards the ends, but that's on me; I have a tendency to focus on the middle and ends of my hair instead of my roots + I forgot to grab a shower cap so all in all my roots didn't get the full benefit of this treatment. User error. I will try to do better next time! Thank you for sharing this with us, you're a 💎.

Honestly it doesn’t smell great! But because I apply o top of my DC the smell doesn’t linger for long once it’s settled on my hair I can barely smell it. You can add an essential oil if you don’t like the smell x
Is it just apple cider vinegar or is it diluted with water?

I haven’t been able to purchase in the U.K. 😭😭
Do you sit under the dryer every time you use the apple cider vinegar and the deep conditioner? If you do not, then did you sit under the dryer this time. Your hair is gorgeous.

@@naturalnadinee, I have never thought one could sit under a heated dryer with apple cider vinegar on their hair. I need to try that. Thanks for the information.
Interesting method do you think it will work with relaxed hair

I don’t see why not, I would probably recommend an acidic hair treatment too for relaxed hair it’s a more long term PH balance typically used for bleached hair but same principle but I’ll probably do a video on that another time xx

Could you please help me out, I have high porosity hair and I can’t shampoo my hair at all because if I do so I will get lots of tangles and breakage. Any advice 😊

Heyy! Lean towards super moisturising shampoos only, if you can’t use that then use rinses like ginger rinse, ACV rinse etc

@@Youngajumma I like the Aloe Vera pre-poo by African pride it’s really good but shampoo is a necessity for me, maybe try cowashing in the short term and ease into shampoos etc xx

@@Youngajumma avoid oil as a pre poo it will just give you build up and make your hair difficult to moisturise. The creme of nature moisture and shine shampoo is my favourite! Xxx
