Thanks for posting this video! I have a 2012 ram 2500 with the same muffler. I followed your video and had it done in 2 hours. Here's a tip. Put the rear hangers on the muffler then onto the truck. Then slide muffler into front hanger and pipe. Installed a walker fx. #18965. No mods needed. Thanks again.

DIY exhaust repair! Ya don't see plugged mufflers very often. Well, if you have to do it, doing it on a pickup isn't too bad. You did a nice job with the dremel. Truck was nice and quiet but still didn't sound like it was running right. Let us know what fixes the problem. I'm guessing it is a low power/no power complaint? Thanks!

Yes , I was not quite sure why they had cut the muffler . I had originally thought it was broken at the joint . Once I got the muffler fixed I was able to hear everything else that was wrong. Anyways i wound up replacing the engine in this truck , runs as smooth as a caddilac but still has alot of other work to be done. Thanks for watching sir and happy new year

Great job are you for hire..LOL What kind of muffler did you use and is it a lot quieter than stock or the same when the stock muffler was in good shape.

It was a muffler I ordered from ebay and I want to say from Am auto parts. The price was not bad and it matched up perfectly. As far as the quality it may have been slightly quieter but overall about the same as oem. Thank you for the feedback and thanks for watching

Instead of using a dremel use a 4 and a half inch angle grinder
