Thanks man. Those old shocks were really gone. Probably going to find the same on mine when the shocks come in.

I used detroit axle. So far they have worked okay , not impressed but way better than before. Thanks for the question.

Did you replace the front end with a Detroit axle kit? How's it working for you? Btw is your truck 4x4 or 4x2? I have a 2003 ram 1500 4x4 but my setup looks different on the bottom of the shocks.

This one is a 4x2 . Yes this was detroit axle shocks . They have been pretty good for the price . I know they have been on for several months and are holding up good so far. The 4wd bolt up different at the bottom with bolt sliding through vs the 2 small bolts holding it up I believe . Thanks for watching

Ok so no need to compress the spring or anything? Awesome

How many years on those shocks, and how did it ride afterwards?

Glad you asked this question. It is going on 3 years now. They seem to be holding up well for a cheaper brand shock. They ride great and all the bouncing stopped. Thanks for the feedback.

Why did you re-use the old bushings? Were they polyurethane, or something?
