It’s interesting Jeff the advancement of slotcar tires….back in the day you had to cut the bodies to fit those huge slicks …..as the hobby progressed the tires have gotten smaller with incredibly more traction…..I recently purchased the Dash blizzard rear tires which fit on the tuffones wheels to be an outstanding choice…..AND they fit under all the wheel openings on the Tjet cars….no longer do we have to cut up classic tjets….excellent restoration video!!….memories of going to the hobby shop to get hop up parts….truly priceless…..THANKS 🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️

Jeff the T-Jet wizard ! Over the years I have tried many techniques to correct this defect. It may well be the most common problem we encounter with these little guys. This is, in my opinion, the best method. I use silicone to make my molds but I think I will try silly putty next time though. Great tip to make some decent runners out of those nasty carved up bodies. Thanks Jeff !

Excellent technique. I do a similar tech except instead of using alumilite, I use 'Goop' a mixture of old body shavings and testors liquid glue, it makes a pliable glue in the color of the plastic you use. Matches perfectly.

And its a great way to fix window posts because it is the same plastic but you have to use the same color if you want to look like it was made that way it saves bodies that are not that bad off

Theres a way to do the same thing with out using resin take a old chopped up body that has no hope and use paint thinner (testers) and a little at a time make putty from the old body of the color and put it on the car let it dry the putty becomes part of the cars plastic just like it was made that way ive made a Lola hatch back and it looks like Aurora made it that way Ive cut a g GTO 250 and a Porch 904 and put them together and you can tell that it has a seam because it dosent
