I don’t have any pinned chassis. I guess the pins go below not touching the axle?

Correct, in both the Viper and the Fusion. The cars I race the pinned axle is a must, you would be surprised how easily the axle pops out during a crash.

Hi Mark, it’s nj Viper Mike..great video enjoyed it very much question for you. Does the chassis come in different stiffness and which one do you prefer? Thanks. Also, have you tried the metal gears they sound really cool. Also, have you ever used ball bearings for your armature and what do you think of them compared to metal bushings or nylon bushings? Thanks, Mark. Maybe you could make a video of such.

Thanks! From what I saw Wizzard has two chassis, one they call flex and one they call the new reinforced chassis. The new reinforced chassis is what I used. I have never used metal gears, they would be overkill for my cars. I do have ball bearings in my 2 ohm Viper cars, I like them a lot but they are pricey. All the club classes I race in don't allow ball bearings.

@@marksslotcargarage thanks Mark I use the metal gears in my Neo cars and wondered what you thought of them so thanks for your reply. I believe the Crown gear is made out of brass. And the other gear may be made out of steel. I have also seen aluminum. Thanks.

Viper Scale Racing or HCSlots.com have spacers in different sizes. .005 and .010 are the sizes I commonly use on my independent front ends.

Where did you get the teflon spacers?

Actually I don't have a good source for them, I can't seem to find them from any of my usual suppliers like Viper or hcslots, I ended up with a few armatures that had several of them on the top of the arm, 3 or 4 of them on each arm, I did not need that many on the arm so I took a few off of each and ended up with a few spares. If I find a good source I will let you know.

No advantage, they are actually weaker than the Pro 4 polymer magnets. They are required if you want to race in the Super Stock class. They do let you run Silly Sponge tires in the Super Stock class. I actually prefer the Spec Racer class which uses the Pro 4 polymer magnets.

Can I use this car on Tyco track? Nice video by the way

Thanks! Yes, you can use this car on any HO track, AFX, Tyco, AW. I would suggest building a Spec Racer for that type track. I am going to be doing the Spec Racer build next.

Viper would be a good chassis to try, if you are running Tyco track I would suggest the Viper VPEC.
