Dude thanks, had to take off to get Paracord out of the blades. Working with the deck installed wasn't working to well. You helped motivate this old "Seabee" to get to work and remove the deck. All successful and put back together just as easy as you described!

Today I replaced the battery in my Husqvarna Tractor YTH24V54. One of the spindles broke shortly after I started mowing. I have very uneven arcerage with rock, tree roots, etc. I ordered a new spindle & belt (noticed some fraying) and already have new blades. I’m hoping removing the deck on mine & replacing the spindle is as easy as you made it look.

It will be much heavier but basically the same. The belt release may be a arm that you take out of a locked position to release tension on belt. It is easier than this one.

Thank you for today's lesson. I'm a recently new parent of a Husqvarna TS48XK. As an older person (60's) doing my own maintenance , do you have an opinion on front end mower jacks for blade and deck maintenance? I have some safety issues with some that are sold in the discount tool stores. Thanks.

My opinion. The only safe way to perform any work on the mower deck is, take it off first.
