    My group members are dynamic. I can't preassign them to a fixed room. I also can't edit participants every time prior to meeting. My members change. My team are in and out. So, is there a new way to create a csv file without putting room members? I mean empty csv file, just containing room without members?

  • @demcnair
    @demcnair3 жыл бұрын

    I'm not sure I would use this feature given the key condition that the user must have a Zoom account and I must know the email assigned to that account. I've found it very easy to create the breakout rooms while teaching then move students around if I think there's a better match-up. Another option I like is "allow participants to choose their breakout room" - this is quite efficient when students are working in project teams that don't change throughout the semester. I just create the rooms, rename them to the project team, select the option that allows participants to choose, then when I open the breakout rooms students can go right to their team. It works really well.

    I host speed dating events. Let's say I need 20 breakout rooms, ten Men and ten women. The ten men need to stay in the stay room at all time, but the ten women need to rotate to each of the ten men rooms. How would that work?

  • @Simpletivity

    @Simpletivity

    7 ай бұрын

    Creating a setup for your speed dating event on Zoom is quite doable. You can set up 10 breakout rooms for the men, and the 10 women can rotate through these rooms. Here's a simple plan: Set up 10 breakout rooms for the men. You can do this when scheduling your Zoom meeting. Assign each man to a specific breakout room. You can manually assign them (I'd recommend numbering each room so the women know which room to go to next. For the women, you can either have them join the main meeting room initially or assign them to a specific room for their first "date." Every few minutes, announce a rotation. For instance, every 5 minutes, have the women move to the next breakout room. You can use Zoom's "Broadcast a message to all" feature to notify everyone when it's time to rotate. Ensure you have a clear schedule or timer to keep things organized. This way, the men stay in their rooms while the women rotate through each of them. It's a simple but effective way to facilitate your speed dating event. Good luck!
