Great question, Brittany. No one is assigned as a host by default when placed in a breakout room. So participants do not have the ability to mute others or kick them out of the room. However, prior to sending people to a breakout room, you could make certain people a co-host which would give them this ability. However, they would also have other host capabilities like yourself.

Your videos are always great. A few follow up questions: 1) What does the broadcast all message look like to the participants? 2) And how would they contact you? How would they write you a message if you are not showing up on their participant list in their Zoom room?

Thanks so much for this simple and understandable explanation of Zoom Breakout Rooms. I've been hesitant to use them because I've been uncertain as to how to communicate with the different rooms. Now I understand!!
