How to play mouse trap: - set up board - set off the trap - repeat

The version I have plays differently than this. In that version, you build the trap as you go, and try to be the last mouse not caught in the trap.

Mousetrap is a great board game to play, even with the pieces of contraptions are useful.

I remember my cousin having this game. Thanks for the reminder of how that game was played. I was about 5 or 6 and I just remember being fascinated about all the contraptions.

What happens when a trap has completed and reset? Does the mouse that was trapped get to move away from the trap position? Or do they have to sit there until their turn to move?

It's the dumbest thing but I love that you use die and dice, not just dice. It's a huge pet peeves that few people know dice is a plural

Can't remember but does the trap fall every time or was there something the kept it from falling other than person's ability to set up the trap perfectly

So, once a mouse is caught and cheese is taken. Does that mouse have to restart from the beginning again?

If a mouse/player occupies a space and u are moving across it, would u count the occupied space or skip it the same as if it were the last space in your move sequence?

Really good at this game growing up!!

My 3yr old boy lost the ball before we started. Can't find any marble that can successfully complete the trap ! Don't lose the ball. 😓

Send the manufacturer an email. They're usually pretty good with replacing lost pieces with proof of purchase or at least S&H

I remember 3rd grade. We had the Mouse Trap board game. Me and the classmates I played with, had ZERO CLUE how to play

When they change the rules of the game?

This isn't what I had in the 80s but glad that the game is still around and reinventing itself. Love the idea I can go to the store and get my kid the games I loved when I was little

I had that game about, ummmmm maybe 4 years ago. And as the years passed, I don't have the game anymore.

It's a game of zany action with a crazy contraption.

The trap is SUPPOSED to fail sometimes? No wonder I couldn't figure this game out as a kid! I thought it was supposed to work every time!
