How To Play Mother By Pink Floyd - Guitar Solo Included - Quick Tutorial

Музыка

In this video I demonstrate how to play the song Mother by Pink Floyd. I spend the majority of the lesson showing how to play the guitar solo, but I do break down the basic chord progression as well. Pink Floyd The Wall is revered by many as one of the most important rock n roll albums of all time. David Gilmour was a big influence on my playing and I wanted to share what I felt was one of his best solos of all time, as well as one of the most moving songs from the album The Wall. I hope you enjoy the video. Please subscribe!

Fun fact: the late, great Jeff Porcaro is on drums. He played for just about everyone in the 70s & 80s before a freak death in the early 90s. I believe his last recording is on Bruce's Human Touch, which is a great song to check out if you don't know it.

Good morning! What a coincidence on the timing of this one. I just watched Live from Gdansk again Thurs night. Such an amazing influence for me over the years. I need to rig up one of my guitars so I can hit some of his bends 😅

Man, me and you must be from the same tree. My three favorite guitarist s are Gilmour, Eddie, and SRV. Good guitarists are a dime a dozen. What separates the good from the outstanding is whether you can recognize who it is from a note or two. Gilmour is one note.

Marty is not from a tree. Legend has it when the big bang occurred, Marty was created by God to teach normal humans music. True story. I am sure that trees were created during the big bang but Marty came from the explosion. I believe Gilmour is the MOST RECOGNIZABLE guitarist ever. You hear one (1) single solitary note and know the player and the song.
