How could anyone dislike this man’s videos?
so i'm 40, have been playing guitar for nearly 30 years, and have always have always resisted lessons, and could never get into youtube instructional videos. well, until i discovered this channel. i've learned so much, and i'm playing more now than i did during the whole pandemic so far. huge thanks for all the work and effort you put into these!

The best I have heard ever!!!! Been a Deadhead since 1992 . THANK YOU MAN!!!!!
I love this format. Just incredibly entertaining.
Best technical exposition of a Dead song I have ever seen. Very "grateful"!
I have fun with these videos because Davvy is clearly having fun. Thank you for teaching us this music. Finally, I know the songs...🤘
Awesome man thanks, I just found the Grateful Dead maybe a month ago and I can’t believe how many songs are bangers
I have to be honest at first I didn’t get you, the mannerisms, pictures of fish 🐠 etc etc. I stuck with it though and practiced what you taught and listened to what you said. Now I have to say, thank you so much for this and your other videos. I totally get it, you explain and demonstrate so clearly to idiots like me that even I can play this now! You are the man! love the humour and your teaching style, thank you again so much for what you’re doing for us 😊👍🏻
Great lesson, Davvy. I was always a little hesitant to plunge into this song, but after your vid, it is simple freakin glorious
@TobyDavvy

Yeah, homie! Most of them are pretty simple in theory, it’s in practice and adding in fills and what not that end up making them sound more technical than they are
The man, the myth, the legendary Toby! I've learned how to play more Dead tunes from you in 6 months than from 10+ years of learning from the other guys. Always appreciate your lessons!

Maybe I’ve been all around this world for next play dead?!? Especially the little beginning solo part?!
late here. these are my faves I think. 74 & my fingers don't work so good but I like this set of vids ( China Cat etc etc ) best I've seen.
Bro, lol dont take that the wrong way. What I was trying to say is I watched a few of your Tennessee Dead videos and I dont see you sing, but on your instructions video you do sing. All is good bro.
What an amazing song. Let me tell you what was special. Phil & Friends with Allison Krauss trading verses with Stu Allen on Morning dew. Then she followed it up with To Lay Me Down. Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming,

Right On Davvy! Dead A-head !
Hey Davvy we are thinking of throwing this into one of our sets. The walk-up changes from show to show - interesting harmonies - I think it's Bobby that changes things up, your thoughts? Other than that how much fun is this. I was thinking of doing a vid with solo ideas and sending it to guys like you, Stitch, Palmasano, etc. for comment on how to make it better, Bad idea? Peace buddy, thanks for everything! Birks
Great tutorials! I'm just curious, what kind of guitar are you using in this video?
Thank you. Can you please do Brokedown Palace?
I love how he crops his upper body onto the close up of his guitar so it looks like he has a giant arms and guitar lol
too good
Jeff Beck Kills it on the Truth album with Rod Stewart singin;)

Yessir! Once we reach our goal of $5k a month on Patreon, I’ll be doing a series of acoustic Dead lessons.
LOL Even Devo recorded it. Thing is in each verse the woman is asking the man in first two lines The second two lines is his reply. There should be more who record it as a duet. I'm going to do just that in the coming months with a good friend of mine.
Sweet solo and tone. Every time i jam on morning dew I end up playing a slower version of the St Stephen lick. So... can we get a Play Dead for St Stephen? Please include tutorial on screaming like Bobby after the verse.

D mixo except you have to add a flat 3 to hit the F note so does it modulate between D mixo (G scale) and D dorian (C scale) when it goes from D-C-G chords to F-C-Em?
