You can use side quest to do this 👌🏻 Not sure if it’ll help with this but that’s an option

Most childish complaint there is, especially considering your 5 min is more like 11 seconds and you can literally fast forward at any time

ets in vr is really good, only in VR u realize how small the ingame world is and how massive the trucks are. the trucks feel massive

By far the best tutorial, I remember setting mine up last christmas and the amount of terrible tutorials I went through... Ive just got it out again to have a play and I cant get it to boot up on VR, done all my settings, everythings up to date, steam vr running, oculus link running etc. You had any problems? It is booting up in VR mode too, just on my monitor instead of the headset.

I've recently got myself a G29+shifter, honestly it's a game changer. I've got another mod on the way and trying to setup my PICO 4 so I can then get in the game and try out my new handbrake 😂

fyi you can up the resolution by going into your Documents Folder (not the game download folder but your actual user documents folder) ---> Euro Truck Simulator 2 ---> and right click to open config.cfg with notepad. Then change "uset_ r_manual_stereo_buffer_scale" to something like 1.4 or 1.5 instead of 1.0 before saving the doc and reloading the game. Keep in mind that it if it lags start back on 1.0 and increase it by .1 until you find a good balance.

who still doesn't work - go to C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 and find config.cfg delete the file and play

Loved the easy to follow video, I might be an idiot but mine wont show up in the headset when the game starts.

the beta opt in was the main thing i was missing

for those who didnt work like me, struggle 4 hours to find that you need to download stream vr and make sure it show your headset, and connect to oculus link before do above instruction, dont try to press f11 or spent 20 bucks for virtual desktop,

if you click on allow access, oculus won't charge fast enough to keep up with gaming session. you should click dont allow, and oculus link will work perfectly while charging fast!

Is that for Air Link only or is it for Rift Link too ? (Air Link looks shit for me, my router is too far) EDIT: Tried it, it charges in Air Link and doesn't in Rift Link. Good to know still !

@@quatrix_1180 when you connect your oculus to pc via cable, it will ask you to if you want to allow pc's access to oculus's files on the headset. if you don't allow it to access, it will charge fast enough(since the cable is used only for link and charging, not for file transfer). it should work with any link cable but i suggest you to get a decent one and not official one, since there are cables that are proven to be faster than official cable. so click deny on headset when the popup shows up.

I've done everything and it won't work

anyone on oculus having issues with game entering VR mode. I'm not sure what exactly did it for me but i do know. In Oculus app, oculus was not the default. i set it as default in the settings . Now, i dont know if it was the restarting of my PC alone or changing that setting and restarting all devices (oculus & pc). I set Oculus as default and it did nothing alone. try changing it to default restarting pc and oculus it worked for me! GOOD LUCK!

i really need some help. everything works apart from when the game cuts to my dashboard and my truck crashes because i can no longer control it because its kicked me to my dashboard??

Make sure your output device is set to Oculus virtual audio device in windows settings. (Settings: Sound: Output: Headphones Oculus Virtual Audio Device) Do the same for your microphone if you're wanting to use voice chat on anything

(PICO 4) I have no idea why ive had to go through a download loop of ets2 vr but version 1.48 is a nightmare for me. I dont understand what im doing wrong. Its all connected up and i can access steamvr from the headset i just cant get this download to finiah finish. It hits 100% validates it then starts downloading again. Is anyone able to help please.

Instead of warning me that the game doesnt support vr, steam automatically starts the game in flatscreen mode. In warthunder it asks me how I want to open the game first. How can I make it do the same with ets?

Anti Aliasing doesn't work in VR, disable it to avoid using ressources for nothing. Only thing you can do right now is crank up the supersampling in the steamvr settings

no, tmp uses the latest version on ets2 and the vr version is like .1 version behind.

got it working but the my fps is liek 10?

does not work for me. using quest 2 with airlink. Other games work fine but not in ets2.

No you need to go in ur steamvr settings (advanst and dashbord) ther u will finde it now
