How to play 'Crazy Train' by Ozzy Osbourne Guitar Solo Lesson w/tabs
Музыка
Hi guys! Welcome to my remake of episode 2 of Learn That Solo! Today we'll look at the solo from 'Crazy Train' by Ozzy Osbourne.
Tuning: E A D G B E (Standard)
Randy Rhoads is amazing. I had to redo this lesson to give it the HD and tab justice it deserves. Good times with tapping and extensive legato!
Happy shredding guys!

This and the "Over the Mountain" lesson has been incredibly helpful and saved me a huge amount of time. Thank you!
Legendary! Gives me chills it’s such a sick solo! Thanks for the lesson, Chris!
great, I've seen others that have lessons in several parts but here I see'em all in one part... appreciated
Thanks man. You may not realize it but you are an instructor for so many people who would not have one otherwise. Thank you so much. I really appreciate the time you put into this to teach us.
You are the best guitar teacher on KZread compared to others!!😁 keep rocking this planet!!!🤘🤘🤘🔥
Awesome! brilliantly and professionally explained and probably the best for this song on youtube
I love your tutorials. I am a more advanced player and I get impatient with slower tutorials. I can follow u just perfectly. Thanks for the lessons:)
Chris you are definitely cool. You are a great player and the way you teach is great - you make me feel very comfortable. top man!!!
Great tutorial as always , awesome video , love how you included the tabs and made it easier to interpret
The solo of peace of mind of BOSTON !!!!!! PLEASEEEE!!
Best lesson ive seen so far.
Greetings from Brazil Chris ! Thaks for another great lesson, finally a light at the end of the tunnel for me on this solo !! Keep up the great work. Cheers
Your videos are just amazing man. Thanks a lot! Keep up the good work.
What an awesome solo by an awesome guitarist (you're not too bad yourself, Chris Zoupa haha). Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
Straight forward and win lesson just finished it , thanks Chris !
Hey Chris, just wanted to say that I truly love your videos. I've just started getting into lead playing only playing for 2 years and learning some easier stuff like AC/DC or along those bluesy lines. I would like to become a shredder and I think I'm starting to build confidence with this video. Maybe it's just cause you make it look so easy lol. Thanks again Chris.
the best tutorial for this awesome solo
Thanks dude! I love your lessons!
Awesome Lesson Chris. I Gotta Learn this Before I Go. Thanks Man.
fantastic video. corrected some mistakes i had been making for years playing this solo
The best teacher!!
Very clear and well paced thank you. great playing too
Good video. Just got into your Chanel and I’m a big fan of how you break each guitar part up into sections. I find it easier to follow. Also really that you play a note when you say it’s fret number. I usually find by ear rather than number so this serves both. Cheers man.
Awesome. Love the tabs and how you break it down.
Thank you for your Tutorials Chris ! :D awesome
Thanks so much dude! Perfect as always...
I've been playing only for 3 months and I can almost play this solo. Thanks a lot for your lessons
I've learned so much from you thank you so much
Thank You Cris . . . All the best & stay well !!!
awesome video. fast paced, yet easy to understand and play along. keep it up man ;) even though this is 5 years in the future :D
Dude, you're awesome. Great teacher bro
Awesome thanks for taking the time to teach!!!!!!!
Love it, thanks for breaking this one down
Beautiful PRS Chris, I just got one yesterday and I'm thrilled to start practicing soloing as I've done it before my other guitar got screwed (tremolo bridge). I hope you teach us Ozzy Osbourne - I don't know solo. Cheers!
Excellent lesson. Very clear, Thanks!
you are great Chris
you have the songs i want to learn....excellent as always..Thx..:-)
You make it look easy. I wish you had a Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Queensryche type of band of your own where you were touring the World playing arenas (or at least big clubs) as a signed act because you've got the chops and creativity to do it mate.
mate! youre keen bro - thanks for teaching us
Thank you, Chris!!!
Very good lessons and always the same order!
Oh ma Jesus. Nice dude! Wish I would be able to play a solo, as fast like that :(
holy shit.. just turn on the captions lol :P chris is beast as always
Awesome tutorial. Other lessons on this are not correct.... cough*martyzsongs.*cough

You're right for the most part except martyzsongs is the only lesson I've seen that shows how to play the fast run at the end of the solo correctly. There's a 4-part interview of Randy Rhoads on KZread that has Randy explaining and demonstrating some parts to his songs. The only thing different is Randy admitted he couldn't remember the end phrase he used at the end of the solo on the album. Aside from that, the notes for the final run match up with the martyzsongs lesson and the last few notes of the end phrase can be figured out by ear.

very delicious solo
Fantastic bro
awesome videos. It would be cool to see a No More Tears from Ozzy video
Do you learn this by ear? I've been playing for years, and I struggle trying to figure these solos out. And you make it look easy. And it's not close to, or almost like. It is spot on. It is Fing amazing how you do this. My hats off to you. Great job!
thanks so much Chris

Thanks for the lesson! working on singing and playing this song at the same time, trying to get better at songs that have different rhythyms between vox and guitar. I have the same model PRS, and I LOVE IT! Great guitar for the price. Whats your opinion of that axe?
Great as always. Anyway you could do Prowler solo, Iron Maiden
nice guitar bro. damn
nice video tnx
Damn you rock!
Man you're aweosome. and you're teaching really good. No offense but youre better than marty as mrsniffmefinge said . athanks for everything :)))
Chris, please teach us how to play the Sybolic solo. This would be a great help!
Sick tutorial man! I've only been playing for 2weeks now, but I'm getting a lot bet than when I started and can finally hear music coming from my guitar instead of just noise >_

if you're into hard rock/metal highly recommend an ibanez or jackson, get something with at least 24 frets so you have a good tonal range for all your shredding needs!
What gear are you using? Obviously a PRS but what are you feeding it through? sounds great
A+...
can you do the lesson for: the hearts collector - nevermore ?
You need to do Comfortably Numbs 2nd solo.

Great ❤️ which type of strings you use?
chris, amazing teaching bro. What part of the world are you in? you should do this professionally.
A lesson on Disposable Heroes. That would be greatly appreciated.
Definitely better than slash playing it at mtv awards :)
How about avenged sevenfold- Danger Line
Wake Up Dead by Megadeth would be awesome :)
This is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fucking slayed that solo!
thx
hey Chirs and guys what kind and level of distortion do you prefer for this song? when i set a high level of gain, it becomes nosiy when i do the second tapping part which also includes a bending.. but when i use few distortion, then tapping becomes less effective.. i'm using UX2 and also have mesa flux five and mesa throttle box.. i'm open for setting advices...
Hey Chris would u rather love to play along side with Randy Rhoads or Jake.E.Lee
No agreement about the last ascending run, still an enigma that everyone plays differently

Panda4life- yeah agreed. sounds cool though.
Almost right. Instead of double tapping with your right hand index finger double tap using the flat end of the pick instead and it will sound exactly like what Randy did!
I know this is an old lesson, but l cannot get the bend on the 7th fret while tapping the 10th fret on the B string (near the beginning of the solo) to sound right. I can hear the tapped note when I'm playing but can't tell that the pitch is changing when I'm bending at the 7th...any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?
Can you do a lesson on the solo of "Heaven" by Warrant please?
You are the best you should do St.James by A7X

yo man can you please show me how to play the solo for the four horsemen dont matter if its the first one or the second 1 but id really prefer the first one
Are you sure about that 14th fret on G string in that last legato run ? In that part it's mixolydian so it should be 13 -15- 16
ayye dude...can u plz do a tutorial on how to play the solo of Indians by anthrax
Hey can you do Dream Theater's Looking glass
how do you play 8:30 but keep the sound? my guitar just fades out

you must hit it hard with your fingers + have a lot of volume and gain
