A very clever way to indulge guitar ego while still coming off as a goofy, approachable guy. The reality is ANY guitarist who has put in the time and effort to play at the level of ability Stevie has will have some ego about their chops. At least this is entertaining and the gent can truly play. It's interesting how any of the discernible emotive licks kinda disappear as soon as the cocaine-tempos hit the floor running. The hilarious MIDI background tracks are worth the price of admission. Fun stuff!

+MARSHOMEWORLD I was thinking the exact same thing. Anybody who's practiced enough can tell you it's harder to play a solo slower and have it sound good. Speed playing is fun and silly and a good way to boast your chops, but it kills all the little intonation and feel. I enjoyed this though, what a goof. :3

Awesome video, dude! You are an awesome guitar player! And on "Free Bird", legend has it that Skynyrd is still in the studio playing that solo almost 50 years later. Even after most of the band has either died of old age or died in the plane crash back in 1977.

His humor can be irritating at times, but he's just too good at guitar for me not to subscribe to him.

It may be a little controversial, but in my opinion one of the best solos ever is the one from "Blackbird" by Alter Bridge. It's my personal favorite. Listen before you reply ;)

+nope sorry Show me then how do you play it. Other thing is to know the notes, tabs, frets, and other thing is to can play it well. I play guitar about 13 years, but I don't wanna learn to play "Blackird"'s solo, cause I don't wanna hurt it, I'd rather make it holy and untouched, the only people who should play it are Myles and Mark (cause both pars are awesome) :)

+Sven Miettensen I know absolutely nothing about Alter Bridge, but since Myles Kennedy is there, you probably have a good taste for music.

Oh my goodness, how in the world have you been not picked up my a mega band that is on top of the world? So eclectic, so multifaceted, all the right inflections, bends to the proper notes. I'm speechless now. You could get any gig you tried out for...

Randy's solo on Diary of a mad man is one of the most hauntingly amazing solos ever imo. One of the first solos I ever learned. And never get sick of playin' it! A bit of a short solo. But brilliant!!

My favorite guitarists are 1.Brian May from Queen 2.Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin

Lizzy Borden Well it's not actually twice as fast. You can see the bpm for each songs appearing on the screen and Steve can be quite impressive sometimes. I would't be surprised if he could play it a bit faster than the original :) It's maybe impossible but I would like to see him try !

Old but gold solos u have there. Im not a guitarist, but I think Petrucci's Spirit Carries On is the best solos so far that i know. Thats my opinion. Anw, Great video! 👍👍

You definitely got the top two right those 40 years old Pink Floyd solos are brilliant and incredible

loved this video just for comfortably numb, gave me goosebumps too!

Randy is my third favorite Ozzy Guitarist. I just love Zakk and Jake. Not just for the solos though. They had awesome tone, riffs, and songwriting chops.

Great vid! For me it's anything Gary Moore. My favourites are the live versions of Parisienne Walkways and Still Got The Blues.

My personal favourite solo is "Floods", by Pantera. But it could never be this amazing if Dimebag Darell played it alone, without the whole band. I think they all really fuse together. I also really love the solos from "Hot for Teacher", "While My Guitar Gently weeps", "Eruption", " Stairway to Heaven" and "Walk". Oh and also, FTW I love Monte Money !
