Absolutely amazing...I loved how you were able to finally figure the last sliding arpeggio that confounded you at the beginning. Well done! 1) How long did it take for you to piece everything together? 2) How long did it take for you to get the solo up to speed? Cheers, Brent

The most important thing to remember when learning a Marty Friedman solo, is to get frustrated and give up.

There's a whole wonderful, enlightening pile up of great things happening here. 1# Your style is melodic usually - I've never known you as being a fast player 2# You absolutely nail those fast parts, as you should #3 You figured it out by ear - as you should, being the kind of musician you are #4 The realisation that Marty Friedman, way before the internet (1990) way before instant access to every guitar lesson and technique, way before instant access to all music available, conceived and recorded this astonishing piece of music.

Hardest achievable solo maybe, I love how almost no one even attempts to figure out what Chris Poland was doing on Peace Sells.

That would be pretty much impossible, no matter how good you are... Hell i bet that even kirk himself couldn`t play any of the solos from that album again if he tried...

John Cage did a full compilation of the solos from St. Anger. It's called 4'33. Truly amazing work.
