How to Perform the Test of Skew for Vertigo

Ғылым және технология

The Test of Skew is the last test in the HINTS Exam, a vital part of accurately diagnosing dizziness and vertigo. This test checks for a vertical correction that sometimes occurs in certain underlying causes of dizziness. Using this test can help a physician rule out certain causes and avoid costly imaging tests that may be unnecessary.
For more tests you can use to rule out certain causes of dizziness, check out the rest of our playlist where we demonstrate how to perform a range of maneuvers to both test and treat a range of conditions.

so... what is considered a positive test and what is considered a negative test? Performing the test is great and all, but it means nothing if you don't explain how to interpret it.

You didn't mention -- should the patient focus their sight on an object before beginning or should you be in a all-white room as shown here?
