Yes, the dot Method!!!! that is awesome. Even though I use chalk to draw an object in, the idea of using a dot method alllows me to get an idea if I am getting the shape right BEFORE drawing a line. It seems less intimidating using the dot method. XO

I really LOVE this BUT as a koi lover that raises Koi... Koi are not part of the cat fish family that are part of the Karp family... lol most people so get that confused because of the whiskers. Also the koi you did are call Butterfly Koi because of their long flowing fins. Regular Koi dont have flowy fins and IF the fins on a regular koi are more round in the front means its female. Males have more pointed front fins... BUT as far as the color and the body of the Koi its self you did wonderful. I love painting and drawing koi. And showing how the body goes was fantastic... I am not trying to down your painting please dont think that.. but these are butterfly koi still in the koi family. Very beautifully done again.

I love this painting! I would love to have a Koi pond. Our zoo, the Jacksonville, FL, Zoo & Gardens, has a big Koi pond in the Asian section & I love to just sit & watch them swimming around. Question: IS THERE A WAY YOU CAN ADJUST THE SOUND SO JON'S VOICE IS LOUDER? I NEVER AM ABLE TO HEAR THE QUESTIONS OR ANYTHING ELSE JON SAYS. IF I ADJUST MY SOUND SO I CAN HEAR HIM THEN GINGER IS WAY TO LOUD. Thanks for all the great tutorials! 🎨

Just because you have a high IQ and paint fast does not mean you are wrong. Just do a few strokes and take a minute to process what you have done. count 5 brush strokes and stop.... check your work and start again. You may have noticed I paint very fast.

I think you mean varnishing a painting when it is done? Acrylic paints do not use oil based varnish. Look for a good acrylic varnish by Golden paint company or even Liquitex. Vanishing points are perspective terms for drawing a building on a canvas or a road, to the artist knows about where the lines need to end up.
