How To Overcome Shyness And Social Anxiety

If you struggle with shyness and social anxiety, you're not alone. When I was in high school, anxiety controlled my every move. I would hide from the world so that I didn't have to be around people. Luckily, I was able to take back control of my life and so can you. Are you ready to overcome shyness and social anxiety? If so, join my Morning Ritual Mastery program:

Shyness is related to our fears of the results. If we want to overcome shyness that means we have to overcome our fears. I believe that everything is in our mindset. If we manage to change our mindset we will be able to overcome shyness and fears.

My 13 year old son is extremely shy and definitely battles with social anxiety (can’t even order himself food without shutting down and getting triggered into a hostel mood because of it). People always thinks he madd in general or madd towards them because of his lack to be able to emotionally be open. I might have social anxiety (my professor told before summer and she said : ' I've been observing you in lectures, and now the last 45 minutes, I can tell you are comfortable in this conversation' etc. ). I'm seeing a therapist on monday... The university days suck when I can't talk in pupblic, like in lectures because I get scared. Also step by office hours too your professors is hard.. 😢 Authority figures scare me a bit and I do not know why. I have been shy in childhood and in my teens, I had few freinds and isolated myself... (still do when I am at home, and I'm not seeing my friends from uni ) (Sorry, english is not my first language) The sentence structure will be a bit weird...

I have always been shy for as long as I’ve known, then transferred before entering high school. I loved high school and did really well with my social skills. I talked to everyone and anyone. Now I am 22, a senior in college and I am at the worst part of social anxiety yet. In the beginning of the year, I was always excited to present and to talk in front of the class. But now I dread it each time, get hot and shaky and then when I actually present, I start with a shortness in breath and keep it until I’m finished. I struggle immediately, as I give one or two word responses when I meet someone new. I struggle keeping eye contact and keeping the conversation. I for some reason always think the worst and think everyone is out to get me or doesn’t like me already. On top of that, I am also told I have a resting b face and in all seriousness, I do not mean to nor want to give off that thought. Thank you for this video, as I can relate and learn so much from it.

This was actually very helpful. I have to admit I didn’t think i was gonna learn anything but I was hooked on the very first thing you said. My shyness is not my identity!! I’ve been identified as that my whole life and I always hated it. It has tricked me to think this is who I actually am because this is how people perceive me all the time. I realize it’s froze me from being anything other than that, and I don’t want to be accused of “being something that I’m not.” (Micro managing at its finest) Theres a lot of great information here, thanks!

This fantastic Stefan. I really appreciate you addressing such an important topic that so many struggle with. Breaking it down into example steps of progression too makes it tangible. It takes the pressure off and gives people who struggle with this actual baby steps allowing them to walk through this and grow. Amazing content as always man.

This video is amazing ! So glad I found it.. I love how he’s not giving quick fixes like some of the other videos out there which suggests we take pills for anxiety which doesn’t even help with the actual problem. But what he’s talking about is making the actual changes, taking small steps towards your goal. Facing your fears. I loved this so much ❤️

You've made such a good point. At our core, what we tell ourselves will always resonate with our actions and processes. This is true even with identifying with being shy. So good! Thanks for sharing!
