Many thanks, been searching for "can meditation cure social anxiety?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Beyophia Unimaginable Blaster - (search on google ) ? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to say goodbye to your shyness and anxiety without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my neighbour got cool success with it.

@@captainscentsible1811 I don't know whether this helps you now. To get rid of shyness, go outside your comfort zone. Talk to people whom you never talk. Put yourself out there. Slowly it will go away. It's not that you are not shy anymore. Shyness tells that we are conscious about how others are looking or perceiving us. It goes away when we put ourselves out accepting who we are as a person. More we accept ourselves, more we can face others. Even after working on all these, we can have shyness. It's part of ourselves somewhere. Accept it gracefully and shine.

I have thought about my shyness very consiciously everyday for 10 years. I understand that thinking is part of the problem. But shyness makes me lonely, so it’s naturally to start to think about how to change my shitty life. Action of course beats thinking every time, just to go to places and see people and be with thoughts and experience created by them. But I can’t do it.

Hey Roope, I hear where you are coming from, It might not be best for you at this time to take the action that you speak about above and I wouldn't agree that taking action beats thinking every time, [some actions are best thought out and discarded before becoming an action] but I'd be an advocate of taking 'inspired' action - action from an inspirational thought or thinking [I've heard people describe this as a 'thought that pops into mind' that is 'outside' the usual habitual thinking we would normally have] All that said the thought or thinking that is being pointed to in the above video describes thought not so much as just the thinking we have in our own mind but how thought can 'colour' or create an overlayed experience over the 'actual' or shared/objective reality we live in - kinda like wearing the very best 3d headset and gaming kit, interacting in a game like Minecraft - we can get so lost or immersed in that experience of building our own world created of thought, building and engrossing ourselves in that world of thought [the game] - all the while the created/collective reality still exists - [the world that you are actually living a breathing in- the room you would be in playing the game in, the game console you would be playing on, the building that you are actually in -with the friends that would possibly be with you at that time etc ] I wonder what might come to mind if you watched the video again, Something that comes to mind as I type this is that the person in the video came to their own understanding after experiencing a few meetings with Dicken and what I'd describe as 'playtime' or time to experiment/test the ideas between sessions. It seems to me it was the combination of both that helped that person realise the true nature of their shyness and without really trying...new actions unfolded I hope this was helpful and of some value to you Best wishes Roope

I get so tired when people think it's bad to be shy!! I'm an introvert-even when I'm with people I call my friends. It's okay to be shy! There is nothing wrong with being introverted more!! I like to listen to other people as much as talking to them. I will admit I am some what talented in music and I also have a degree in computer drafting and design. That can be a problem when I am supposed to sing a solo or karaoke. Yet when I am playing the drums it's like I'm in my element. I am as comfortable playing the drums in any setting as I am in my apartment. I have done solos for church (singing) I was glad they were over with! I have never known how some people excel at being in front of others why other people like me even though we may do/perform well we just don't feel as comfortable in front of others-especially in this area.

People around me always misunderstood me for being shy, when the truth is I'm an introvert, I have anxiety giving speeches but that always depends on the audience. I just don't really feel like doing small talks, I like to be alone because I feel exhausted with people. I hate so much especially at work when they think I'm shy and they doubt if I can do things or not. People should need to be educated that shyness and introvertness are not the same.

Perhaps you can search up Dr Bill Pettit's webinar series with the 'Real Change Portal' he also teaches using the three principles. He is a board certified psychiatrist with 30-40 years of experience working with the most gruesome mental illnesses. He has stories such as seeing a schizophrenic person, who had lived in the mental hosp for 47 years and become fully well again after seeing his own health through the principles. It just shows that this really holds the cure for even the worst mental illness that the 'experts' had come up.

It really is though. Its so simple but hard to remove all our self limiting beliefs. My social anxiety disappered once i had the realisation that A. I am not my thoughts. I am not my narrative I have created. B. Life is in constant change. Including my identity which is not fixed. C. Our ego and mind get locked into negative thought habits. Its all fight v flight mode. Look up Buddhism to help dissolve the ego. D. All external circumstances are meaningless until our mind applies meaning to them. We need to validate ourselves and not get our worthiness from external sources. Stop imprisioning yourself in your mind. Meditation really helped me to find that presence inside me that lies behind all the lies the ego tell us.

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed ME to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Yes. Shyness is negative thoughts of you not being able to socialize that are constant and you are always bullying yourself of not being able to socialize. This does not make you feel good and being shy you always avoid social situations. So yes shyness does need a cure because it hurts you. If you are an introvert that is different because you are not afraid of talking but you like being quiet so an introvert can talk but they like the they are queit

He’s not saying that it’ll work immediately but I think it can help. I’m a VERY shy person so I know how it feels to be afraid of doing something just because I’m shy, I missed a lot of opportunities because of this shyness, been unemployed for too long after graduation because I’m afraid to try but I think it’s better to trick yourself into thinking like someone else to get better than being a “I can’t do it, I’m so shy.” kind of person without even trying. ❤️

Great, just stop thinking to overcome shyness. Become enlightened and you will stop being shy, that is true, but of course not very helpfull. This is exposure, the guy talking does not understand what he is saying, though he is a good speaker. He is saying: just do it and get used to it, not: stop thinking.
