Installed scope then watching video realized missed couple steps to insure accuracy.. THANKS FOR VIDEO

I have several questions about the method of mounting the scope: 1) Shouldn't the screws be Loc Tighted? 2) Shouldn't you make sure that the recoil lugs are all the way forward (slide the scope ring mount forward before tightening) to ensure the scope cannot move fom recoil? 3) There are two settings for the lug mounts (scope forward or back more), isn't the forward mount a better solution for scope eye reielf? 4) And this is my most important question, why the nylon inside the scope rings?

@SirPsychoRHCP You can use the RWS lock down scope mount. It will clear that height on that gun. You can find them at Umarex USA's website. (search for "lock down" on the lefthand search) It will depend upon the diameter of the middle of your scope whether you need a 30 mm or 1 inch version of it.

4) (continued) With the nylon inside the scope rings it is easier for the scope to move and the rings cannot get a good "bite" on the scope. Wouldn't it be better to remove the nylon? 5) Why no torque specs? I am used to mounting scopes on firearms not air rifles, but it seems like the above steps would produce better results. It may be overkill, but I would even hand lap the rings (the nylon would need to be removed) to make sure that the rings to get a better bite on the scope. Thanks, Ken

I plan on mounting a scope with a 50mm objective lens on an RWS 350 magnum. What profile scope rings should I use to mount, high because of the large diameter objective lens?

What if the mount damages the rail, due the recoil?

To me the Diana 52 will be the telescope with the normal mounts. The strong vibrations

i have a rws model 45 abit old but it hasnt been used much i just wanted to know cus everytime i shoot it always shoot's 5 to 6 inches lower then aim'ed i just wanted to know how can i fix it and befor when i messed around with it . it use to work but now it isnt when i swhiched scope's then reswhiched them back that happned any help would be geart thank you ahead of time

i already know that i have to sight it in but rws rifles suck with aiming the dumb thing aims lower the scope on all the way down it still aims about 4 inches up no matter what you do you have to buy a lil metal thing for it that has a 45 degree angle which blows i paided 500 bucks for this air rifle and i still have to buy more stuff for it ill just buy me a real dam rifle and dont have to worry about all this shit but thanks mate

Completely useless how-to video unless you actually zoom in to see exactly what you are doing. Disappointing. Missed opportunity.

These scope mounts suck on an RWS 54 Air King. The scope twists due to the heavy recoil of the rifle and the single strap design of the mount. Do Not Use These On A Magnum Springer. Your scope will move POI. 600 dollars on a rifle and I can't get good mounts from the company that designed it.

Lock down mounts by RWS suck. Only using 2 screws per cap is a joke for a magnum powered spring piston airgun.

The recoil screws will move the way you have done that. Also what about eye relief? No mention of bringing to the shoulder make sure relief is correct? Terrible demonstration black background means cant see whats going on. Old mate that sounds like Darth Vader is also all hands cant see past them👎👎👎👎
