    I just got this rife today. I did put a different scope on it because it has zoom. The stock scope is very clear I’m sure it’s good , but I shoot out to 25 yards and beyond. Very Impressed with this rifle. This is my first Gamo I have several other brands but I like this one as well.

    Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus!It's a great kzread.infoUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

    Hi! Thank you for your video. My Indian springer air rifle’s manual insists on putting just one or 2 drops of oil into the chamber every100shots. They say it is important due to the humid and dusty conditions we have here. What oil would be best for this? Pretty sure the gun has a plastic piston.

    A bore guide for a bore that small?? Do you know how insanely skinny the cleaning rod would have to be in order to use a bore guide on a .177 air rifle??

  • @MtnBadger
    @MtnBadger2 жыл бұрын

    @@GovtWatchdog Yeah, I thought about that after I wrote that. Just my over active, OCD mind always getting it's two cents in. 😆 I had one of these when I was young and now that I finally have another, I want to do everything I can to make it lasts. I decided a bit of a compound like a moldable plastic (silly putty, etc.) around the opening to keep things safe from dings would be functional if one wanted to go that far. I'm not crazy, just a frustrated scientist at heart who's always looking for new and exciting ways to over complicate things. Gives my mind something to think about while distracting myself from PTSS stuff, like working with my guns. It would be an interesting concept, though. Needle bore cleaning rods... 😆

    Chamber oil is silicone oil, not recommended for mainspring or hinges, use spring cylinder oil for that. Silicone not good for lubricating metal to metal surfaces.

    *I have no complaints except for the terrible factory packaging>>>**arah.in/XJLx** which lets the butt end of the stock flop in the box around unsupported, levering against the barrel tip which is held in place with a piece of syrofoam. Check to see that the screw securing the barrel in place at the muzzle end of the stock are tight, or the barrel will move around and affect your accuracy. It takes a while to get used to the long trigger pull and non adjustable tension, but then it's darn accurate.*

    More like 50 shot and replace.IT'S AN IMPRESSIVE LOOKING PIECE OF JUNK !!! WANT ONE, I HAVE A 22 CAL MAKE ME AN OFFER. When I got it all looked fine, put a target out, got it sighted in, a few shots later the the cocking arm broke also braking the cocking lever at the pin and at the same time. That's when I found out the warranty was completely worthless. Being brand new I ordered the parts and fixed it myself. Same thing happened again. It may be defective, I wanted it replaced but good luck with that. Very serious I have one for sale if anyone wants it.

    Lol no propellant. The crud in the barrel is just the stuff they put on the outside of pellets so they don't rust. Lol you have to season your barrel to make it most accurate anyway. Lmao cleaning after 100 or 1000 shots no thanks. So unnecessary.

  • @EarthSurferUSA

    All metals do oxidize at differing rates, but "rust" is only associated with "ferrous metals", (metal with iron in it), like the barrel is probably made out of if it can rust. Lead has no iron in it, and they do not rust. Pellets may be coated with something, but I am sure many are raw also. One famous rust preventive for guns right out of the factories has been the use of "Cosmoline". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmoline Different manufactures use different rust inhibitors for shipping from the factory I am sure, but if they are anything like cosmoline, you better clean the barrel before you shoot IMO.
