How To Make UPPER KITCHEN CABINETS In School Bus * Skoolie Conversion * Gus The Struggle Bus

In this video, we show you how we build our upper kitchen cabinets to match our DIY cabinets and counter space. We made them with the same birch plywood and used LOTS of pocket screws

Look at the pocket screws angle if you put the screws inside the angle is pointed down, ( holding the cabinet in ) The way you are doing it the angle of the screw will fail will bring the cabinet down

@@Uncle_Geo If you have a Kreg jig dill a hole and put a screw in look at the end the screw points down if screw is in side the cabinet so when you screw it in the screw has a lot more holding power now turn the board over were angle is pointing up easier for it to come out . This is for Horizontal boards. Just want to say there build is coming along really nice.

nice job , can use the cut out pieces as the doors and have the grain the same across the front the side piece needs one more pocket hole below the bottom to pull it in , its bend out a little you might allso make a few thin ply divider walls in the cabinets its just handy to have them when you start stacking items in there , it allso prevents everything ending up in the front cabinet after some heavy braking , you could put a (datum) groove in the bottom and front to set the thinner walls in and use some thin wood strips at the back wall to keep them in place

Beautiful craftspersonship! That wood you choose is sooo nice. Look at all the cupboard space you are going to have above your counter. That's going to be so nice! We can't wait to see what you do with the doors, and well... The entire kitchen really! Now that we know how skilled you are with wood art, we are both really looking forward to the finished you choose. Smart idea you had with using the layers of the plywood & a square to make sure it was square. Thoe dang curves make things so challenging, but you guys aren't letting anything stop ya's! Keep it up you beautiful maniacs! Big love from the North! - E + B too
