How to make Dr Doom mask from steel (tutorial + free templates)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to make a Dr Doom steel mask! It’s pretty simple armor mainly for decoration or cosplay and with the free templates you can do it yourself!
This tutorial will show you how to make all the different parts of the mask but you can make your own modifications for cosplay or anything. I got the idea from the Marvel Dr Doom comic books but it's just my idea of the mask and it's not based on any particular Dr Doom movie or comic. It's a nice idea for cosplay or as a decoration.
It’s an easy cosplay armor project even for a beginner and you can do it with simple tools. I made some of the tools myself. If you need ideas or help about the tools just ask! You can also practice building it with the free templates so you can also try if it fits you. And you can use any material like EVA foam if you want to, using steel is not necessary. And you can modify the templates to make some other steel mask or cosplay mask.
The mask is made mostly from 1,25 mm steel sheets and riveted together.

    I just printed it and compared it to my original template and it prints out in right scale at least for me. And yeah it does fit for me, it's quite tight and there's no loose space though. But we all have have personal faces so you might need to print it in different size, hope it works

    could you make this from a lighter material like flashing to make the process easier for people with fewer tools?

  • @GarageKnight

    @GarageKnight

    3 жыл бұрын

    I haven't tried, so I can't tell for sure, but I think you could. Flashing is basically thin metal so it behaves like the steel I used so why not.
