3D Printed Dr. Doom Mask [Time-lapse] Thingiverse STL File | Cosplay |
Ғылым және технология
Hi guys found this very cool Dr Doom mask on Thingiverse and I just had to print it. I decided to go with the split version just so I could work on my gap filling skills and it turned out great. I did have to sand it quite a bit to get a nice flat finish but I was prepared with plenty of sandpaper and a couple of energy drinks.3D printed on my wanhao d5s in PLA filament. I also found a dark green hoodie to go with it. In the future I would like to build a full Dr doom suit. I hope this video helps you with your build.

Doctor Victor Von Doom is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The son of Romani witch Cynthia Von Doom, Doctor Doom traditionally has been the archenemy of the Fantastic Four, and the leader of the fictional nation of Latveria. He is both a genius inventor and a sorcerer. While his chief opponents have been the Fantastic Four, he has also come into conflict with Iron Man, Black Panther, the Avengers and other superheroes in the Marvel Universe. Though normally portrayed as a supervillain, since Civil War II in 2016, Doom has been depicted as a superhero, taking up the mantle of Iron Man from Tony Stark, and going on to join the Avengers

A KC Jones mask from TMNT would be dope
How much time did the whole process take? Are these for sales? I'm in the process of starting a small 3D farm and I'm curious about how you calculate the cost price.

it not for sale its against 3d printing rules as for price filament cost £20-30 so not much
what is the total weight you used PLA to make the mask?
Have you ever try using silver rub and buff? it would give you a more polished chrome look.

No supports are impressive. I am trying to understand how your machine has defied the odds and achieved this around the mouth piece / grill area. I even tried slowing down the video to see that portion take form. Still doesn't make sense to me how gravity doesn't take control and destroy this area. I'm going to have to try this method. I just finished the bottom piece with supports and it was a horror show. Ended up ripping off the springs on one side and cracking the grill during support removal. 17 hours down the drain.

I am attempting to just print a spring at the moment. I used meshmixer to select only the spring and saved it as an stl file. Didn't see the springs online to download. A 30 minute print time is much better than another 17 hours. Hopefully it works and I can just glue them in.
