I 3D Printed ANOTHER Iron Man Cosplay Suit - MK40 Shotgun
Ойын-сауық
Hey everyone! So this is a quick odd build! The MK40 Shotgun!
This was done as a commision print for someone! I do plan on making a follow up video once he's done fitting and painting it. My job was only to print the parts and send them out!
The MK40 Shotgun was featured quickly in Iron Man 3 during Tony's fight with Killian. A very unique suit; this was fun to print.
The entire thing was scaled up between 110-115% and used just over 10 rolls of Monoprice PLA+. A very easy print to do if you're starting in the iron man builds.
I invite you to check out my other build series. Tons of info!

The Shotgun is my favorite suit from the Iron Legion. If you haven’t checked out the concept art for it, it’s pretty bomb. The limbs lock together to give it a streamlined footprint to minimize air resistance. That’s what the little toothed sections along the limbs and torso are for. Thanks for sharing!
Now make the Heartbreaker and then the Hulkbuster!

Hey man! just fell upon your channel a week ago when I was looking to build some fun stuff with my 3D printers. Hands down, this is my favorite channel on youtube. Keep up the great work, the editing, production, and quality of your videos is amazing. Your greatest ability is to describe a very detailed process into something easily understandable for someone newer to the scene without us getting confused. Once again, Keep up the great work. I look forward to all your releases!

Great Mk40 Suit tour, Frank! I need to finish mine LOL. Very good point about how all of the suit files out there will not fit everyone without some kind of modification. Comes with the territory.
“I’m 6ft not”😂 another great video Frank
Inner elbow is called the ditch
Wow that suit looks very wearable Good job Frank And that colour of filament looks good for painting over. 👍👍👍

I just bought a creality ender 3d pro. I have been thinking about getting a 3d printer for a few years now. I watched your video about getting into 3d printing, it was the push I needed to finally buy one. Thank you and you have a new sub.
27:00 PREACH! 🙌🏻 Just like “one size fits all” clothing. Someone who is 5’9” and 150lbs may think that Brand A has the best fitting clothing, and someone who is 5’1” and 170lbs may disagree, and prefer the fit of Brand B. Everyone’s bodies are different. Even people who have the same exact height and weight may have different proportions, and may prefer the fit of different suits.
Love to see a mark 3 it was my favorite of the suites
My favorite suit omg...
Great job love your work
You should resin cast the visor
Hell yeah shotgun is one of the coolest suits in ironman 3
Freaking cool 😎. Love this! Congratulations on the low waste number! Really excellent job!
Nice done mate nice done
Another great video, you spoil us lad! Bit of feedback regarding the monoprice pla+ for anybody that's considering it- it's cheap, prints similar to sunlu pla+, only complaints are the delivery times due to Brexit etc and the advertised colours have been enhanced in the Amazon photos. Never had a colour be so far from what's advertised but it's no biggy if you're painting it, obviously. Again thanks for the heads-up on the sunlu alternative 👌
im waiting for this man to have all 85 suits and the hall of amour for all of them ,like in iron man 3 during the house party protocol
Great video

" *just under 10 roles of PLA* " oh my god thats a lot!
Love your videos and i just started with 3d printing and learning from your past videos. One question why wood filler and not bondo? Also have you ever tried a brush on wood glue instead of wood filler? Do you think that would seal the layer lines better and maybe make the item stronger? I am coming from wood working to 3d printing so was surprised about wood filler.
Good Job! Your empty spools collection is HUGE. Have you ever thought about master spool? I think it would be a good idea to consider in your case. Keep it up Frank

Cool video, now I want to print myself a suit of armor. I might have missed it, what layer height did you use for printing?
Hey man been watching your videos for a while on TikTok and I got an ender 3 pro which arrived a couple days ago, got it assembled etc but I’m having trouble because the filament dosent stick to the base it just keeps moving around with the nozzle, thanks for making these videos they really got me interested in 3D printing

Make sure your slicer settings are correct for the file your printing. Some files say to print below 60 degree bed temp. They are mistaken. Your bed temp has to be at least 60. Everything I print will be at a bed temp of at least 65 to ensure a good adhesion. Also make sure your bed is level. Lots of videos on KZread about leveling every model printer. Lastly you can use glue sticks on bed to get a good first layer. Actually one more lastly, you can select rafts under adhesion in slicer program. These pretty much assure a good adhesion.

I bought the Iron Man Mark III Full Body Armor Suit MK 3 Version 2 from Do3D I’m just starting to figure out proper alignment of those parts. I should consult with you on some of them. I have 15 machines so if I get my act together, I should be able to print up a lot of pieces fairly quick. I just wish I had my own nuclear power plant 🤓

Iron Man suit Mach 40, the high velocity suit, aka Shotgun. The reason why it's called Shotgun is because of the Sonic booms it makes
Mk 39, Mk 40, I see we have the same tastes in Armour. If you tell me the next one is the Mk 30, I swear...
I'm new at 3d printing, have done lots of premade stuff but it sits too much. I have a creality cr 10, but it only allows me to use cura 15 like a very old edition which doesn't allow you to do anything but look resize and print. I really want to be able to cut designs up and or make changes in designs. Any ideas would be awesome. I think my favorite suit to print would be red snapper. Thanks Old Guy
What number of wall perimeters are you using and with what nozzle size? I'm printing my suit with 0.6mm 2 wall laters and 15% infill and now I'm thinking it's too much infill
