Yum I've been craving cream of broccoli soup
I have a recipe similar to this that also uses cream cheese in the cream sauce. Definitely makes it heartier. Thanks for reminding me to make it again soon!!

It looks like a nice recipe but I would alter a couple of things. I would use a cooked potato to thicken the soup and for those who don;t want cream the potato makes the soup creamy as well as thick. If you wanted the cream then just use both the potato and the cream.
Exactly what I was looking for and - what is more important - I do not have to go outside in this cold nasty rain to buy any ingredients. I have all of it in my fridge. Thanks. :)

Hi Pete's. We use a flolight 6 bank on camera right for key and flolight 4 bank on camera left for fill.

Concerning the cruciferous vegetables; One should puree first then let sit for a few minutes , This allows the enzymes to act, so that the nutrients (Specifically the sulforaphane) can be absorbed by the body. {Also Allium vegetables )
I forgot to say I cook the stems of the broccoli with the onions etc so I don't have to cook the tender heads too much
I was just mentioning bechamel on another video. LOL. I make cream of brocolli a little different, because I use left over cooked broccoli and do it all in the pot I make the bechamel. Adding chicken stock to it dehydrated onion, and of course cheese.
I used to order cream of broccoli at Big Boy's almost every time I went. I'll have to make it next time I want a cream soup. Right now, I'm trying to finish the cream of potato soup that I made way too much of for one person.

I use a pinch of crushed fennel seeds. Not sure everyone would like that, but I do.

I couldn’t tell how much milk you added. It looks bigger than one cup.
Was that beef stock or chicken? You said chicken but it looked like beef.
Why not just use heavy cream
