My mother is blind as well, and a great home cook. It reminds me not to obsess over exact measurements and just go off of smell and feel!

Estoy segura que es parte de la cultura latino/sudamericano el hacer sopa en verano! Por lo menos aquí en Chile siempre consumimos sopas en verano (cazuela, carbonada) y siempre los días que hace más calor 😂

Johnnn! I had dental surgery and was like “I bet preppy kitchen would give me good soft food ideas” and this was perfect.

Rather than adding flour to my broccoli cheese soup, I add a small amount of mashed potato flakes just at the end of cooking. It adds a bit of thickening as well as a nice note of potato flavor which is so good with broccoli and cheese.

That work great to thicken baked potato soup when you make it! Works like a charm! (Try the stuff from Idaho-hint! Hint!) lol!

Broccoli STALKS are my favorite part! DELICIOUS!

While a lot of soups on YT are of sauce consistency, I love that yours isn't overwhlemingly thick.

That seasoning drawer really blew mind! Love that idea 🙂

The first time I made this, the only cheese I had in the fridge was Apple wood smoked cheddar. Quite popular in the UK. The smoked cheese really added to it. I have since made it again with mature cheddar, and it was good, but it was so much better with the smoked cheese. Either way it's an awesome recipe!

Someone else who loves the broccoli stems! They're like broccoli-flavored butter.
