This is really accurate except for one thing. Near the end when you are adding cold water... what you are left with is NOT buttermilk, it is very watered down buttermilk. What you want to do is collect the buttermilk before you add water. At 2:42, collect the buttermilk first, then add cold water.

Very good lovely butter. Quite a bit of work repeating process but it gets all the cream separated. Nice work. The problem is being able to obtain the full cream milk which will yield enough cream rising up. We call this cream malai. In the olden days when we could buy creamier milk with less chemicals in, we got lots of malai. We ate it sprinkling sugar with bread, yummy. What sort of milk did you use that it yielded this much cream. We get very little nowadays from every packet of 500ml milk.

Well i give you a straight answer to that question. I drink alot of milk, 20 liters per month, it has to be whole milk, you need to boil it and collect the cream on top and store it in the freezer. It take a whole month to collect everything, and with 20 liters you get 800 to 900 grams of pure butter. 💯

Then you can mix the butter with the milk to make heavy cream/half and half ... Imagine knowing you made half and half or heavy cream out of simply milk on its own
