I absolutely love this tutorial. I've made 2 for friends and am getting ready to make 3 more...1 for my daughter in law who is traveling to Peru this fall and 2 for myself. It is absolutely the best travelers journal I have ever seen. Thank you.
I know this was made 5 years ago, but just found this. Excellent tutorial, going to make one for my friend who is going travelling soon.
I have been watching thousands videos to make my journal for my last travel, and yours is perfect, simple, easy and beautiful. I will save your video for future reference for my next travels ✈️🛫
This my favorite travel journal I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this great tutorial and wonderful journal! I like the idea that it is exclusive for one journey and you keep all bits and pieces and your journaling in one place!
Wow, the most gorgeous TNB I have seen so far! And practical! I will definitely try to make this! Thank you so much for sharing 🤗🕊️
This is so cool. I like a simple folio. If it were me adding in the notebook, I would siimply tie it in with elastic, as with a traditional traveler's notebook, or add a strap of cardstock to the back and slide the back cover of the notebook underneath it. That way, the notebook could be replaced. I'm the kind of person that also loves flaps and foldouts, so I could really have some fun with those pages 😊
I’m so happy I have come across this! I can’t wait to watch more of your postings! Thank-you!
Sam what a fantastic treasure of your travels with your husband. I do love the way you go through a project; thank you for all the support and great 'Top Tips' you give us crafters through your video tutorials. :o)

Thanks for the great info! Your board with the grooves you're working on looks very helpful for this type of work. A Travel Journal is such a great thing to make. For those who also do calligraphy... it is particularly nice.

I noticed that too. I have looked for something similar online, but I don’t even know what it might be called. Have you any idea where to get something like this?

Nice idea
Wow! This is awesome. Does it fit in the backpack?
I love it 😍😍😍 how do u put the maps and those icons?
Hi Sam! Very nice project and even nicer that you shared with the world. I would like to do it and I was wondering about the black measurements pad that you used, where did you buy it or whats the name to look for it? I think it's quite practical!
Excellent tutorial as usual. If you can’t get hold of those nifty clear pockets would a cut down plastic binder pocket work?

I don't see why not, a clear corner pocket would work as well x
Hope this will work with frozen Pizza boxes glued together printed side... to make it stronger ... tfs
Love the project & intend to make one some day, BUT, I checked out your blog and didn't see any link to the die set. It's absolutely perfect and I would like to get one! Could you please post the link here beneath my comment along with one for the "pokie tool pump"? Thanks so much!

Hiya, I always forget some kind of link in my blogs! here's the link to the dies and the link for the Screw Punch was already on the blog post. :) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Metal-cutting-die-set-travel-holidays-plane-caravan-ship-camera-case/253216594784?hash=item3af4e29b60:g:AmsAAOSwZW5Z6Pvw

Mixed Up Craft Thanks! :D ( the request for the screw punch link was an afterthought actually - I had already exited the blog. Sorry about that.) This is a really cool project and it's always fun to see what your next post is going to be because they're always so good! Thanks so much for sharing :)
Love this notebook! I started to make this but think I had the wrong weight kraft paper. It was super heavy and I couldn't get the middle to bend properly. Can you tell me what weight your card stock was? I love this notebook and want to make it for a friend. I have all the pockets, etc. made already! Thanks....hope you see this!

Also just found....are the inserts also printed on multiple sheets of kraft paper glued together? If not what # did you use?

Hello . All the inserts are just plain craft card. I also added an exercise book as well 😊
What is that measuring table table you are using. It seems to have corrugating to help with scoring.

Hello Troy. It’s called a score board. All products and craft supplies are listed in the links below the video. Hope this helps you 😊
I have tried this but my card cracks as the folds are so narrow, will have to try Docrafts as mine is from Creative Expressions,

Hi, Wendy, my Docrafts kraft card has never cracked, I've never used Creative Expressions card stock so can't comment.

Hi Marcia it's an A5 note pad :)
How much would u sell these for at a craft fair
@MixedUpCraft
6 жыл бұрын
Oh, goss I'm rubbish at this, what it deserves to be costed at would never sell. No more than 5 pounds in the UK even that, unfortunately, may be too much. People who don't craft will never understand what time goes into making them.
I can’t seem to get the string tight enough
Not in use only notebook is in use for us
Hi. Do you like every comment?
আপনার কথা কিছু বুঝা যায় না
Grammar correction! "me and my husband" is incorrect. "my husband and I" is correct. "I done" is incorrect, "I did" or "I have done" is correct. I hope you are not teaching English to Chinese people. I might seem picky and old school but having learned proper English (I'm not perfect but I'm not posting tutorials.), I have experienced that people who use incorrect grammar can be judged as less intellegent, poorly educated, or just stuck to bad language habits. With your nice clipped British accent, incorrect grammar really surprises me and obviously distracted me from your tutorial which is otherwise excellent. Now, that all said, my weakness is punctuation and spelling so if I publish some writing, I'll appreciate the help of an editor.

Just stop with this judgementalism. We are not for grammar lessons. I need to learn correct measurements for paper cutting and gluing!
