TRAVEL JOURNAL PROCESS | memory keeping journal / scrap book | simple and quick creative journaling

It has already been more than a year since I came back from the North of England, visiting Newcastle, Sunderland, York and Durham. So definitely time to work on my travel journal! In this video I show I use journaling for memory keeping my trip, it is like a very simple and quick scrap book or creative journal.
I make three different spreads and use all kinds of trip mementos.

Enjoyed your video! I love to watch people’s travel journals/scrapbooks and get a feel for the places they went but also what ephemera they gathered and how they include it. Betty’s looks so fun and I would have grabbed all the little bits of paper too! Haha. One tip if I may share from my own travel memory keeping: receipts fade over time, some more quickly than others - so I like to photocopy mine or photograph them and print on paper, so they last longer!

Aw thanks! I have already made a few of these so found my style, plus I think it helped that I sped everything up. I definitely did a lot of pausing and thinking in between, I promise. What I do like about this size and this kind of memory project, is that both the page is quickly filled, plus the memory is “more distracting” than the page itself, so I do not notice mistakes when flipping through! Good luck with your project. You can do it! 😀👏

I do want to group things together and just leave a blank page (to decorate?) in between. Both to get it out of the way and stuck down, and to save the paper goodies for the future! I get it! It can be really daunting!! But I try to weigh the “oh gosh it has to be perfect” versus the “oh gosh this pile of stuff to work through is GINORMOUS” 😂 and that last one usually wins so I just have to start with it. You could look into maybe a loose paper system? Punching them to fit in a binder? Or a large planner?
