How to make a Traveler's Notebook Junk Journal | Tutorial | Using Flow Magazine & Crate Paper

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Making a junk journal can be very easy and fast. Today I am sharing how to make this Traveler’s Notebook Junk Journal. I used pages from Flow Magazine but also patterned papers from Crate Paper “Fresh Bouquet” to give it a vintage look. I was really inspired by this paper collection and chose images and other random papers that would fit this. You can add all kinds of papers that you have laying around, it doesn’t matter! Be creative and look around to see what you can bind into your own journals.
If this video went too fast, I also have a real time tutorial on how to make a junk journal out of a cereal box. I use the same type of binding in that journal but with more holes. Check it out here: • TUTORIAL: How to make ...
If you want to know how to prepare and print your digital kits, check out this video: • How to Prepare & Print...
I hope you enjoyed this video and stay around to see how I use this junk journal for my own journaling. Thank you for watching!
Love, Kyra

Tacky glue is great and not the same kind of glue as fabritac etc. It won't keep coming out of the tip etc like that kinda glue. Also. The tip is designed to be cut along the little ridges around the outside of the tip. Poking a hole just makes it hard to squeeze. I wouldn't recommend adding acetone as tacky glue is water based... Simply making the hole bigger by cutting the tip of the nozzle off should fix the super hard squeezing but still allow you to have a slow flow due to how thick it is. You can water it down but it does start making it separate if you add to much water...The entire nozzle can be taken off and soaked in hot soapy water to clean of need be. Just add a piece of plastic wrap over the bottle and secure with a rubber band. Keeps glue safe for as long as you need. Thanks for sharing your talents with us!!;. .

Hi Amanda! Thank you for the tips on the tacky glue😄. The only reason why I didn't cut of the tip is because I did that with a sample bottle and it drops glue like crazy on my project when I squeeze the bottle. So I am a bit hesitant to snip the tip🙈. But maybe I should. I am still in doubt about it😂. I love the glue but I don't like it that I can't control how much will come out of the bottle and I need to grab a brush or something to spread the glue. Glad to hear you like my project!! Thank you so much!😄💙

@@KyraPace it will thicken and slow up a tad the more you use it akdnit gets exposed to air. If you cut it at an angle. You can keep the actual hole small but give it enough hole to have the air flow.. hope that helps!

DO NOT add acetone to tacky glue, I was referring to Fabri-tac and similar products, clear, not white glues.

This is gorgeous. A tip for the glue, add a drop of acetone (nail polish remover). It will make it easier to flow from the bottle nib.

Big thumbs up from me as always! 😄😍 Your junk journal is so beautiful, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you are gonna create in it. I also love that tacky glue doesn't make the paper wrinkle, but it's way too hard to use. I've tried Fabritac, but I had the exact same problem. Also, it wouldn't stop coming out of the bottle if I didn't close it immediately... So annoying!! Like you, I also break the magazine spines to make it easier to get the pages out 😄. I laughed when I saw Mister Link taking his job as Quality Control Officer very seriously 😉😄😻 Have a beautiful day my dear Kyra! 😘💙💚💛🦋🌈🌸🐛🐥🌞

Thank you so much Nathalie!! :D I am also looking forward to sharing my pages with you :D. I do agree with what you are saying about the tacky glue. But I will be brave and cut the tip with tips in the comments from Amanda :D. I never used Fabritac. I haven't found it available in the Netherlands yet. I had glue coming out of the bottles with the cheap Action glue when it is close to finished. It is such a mess!! And yes, it makes it so much easier when you break the spine of a magazine. Hehehe, Mister Link just had to check. He does take his role very seriously :P. I hope you have a great week! Much love

Now I have another glue to try lol When I see people use tacky glue and they want a thinner tip, they will transfer some to a fine tip bottle with just a touch of water, then refill the bottle as needed. I agree that tacky usually comes out clumpy lol I need to try that tip myself. I’m curious if the regular tacky glue won’t warp paper like you say the clear doesn’t. I already have 5 kinds of glue on my craft table lol But really only use 2. And....your new journal is beautiful!
