    Fantastic tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to share. Couple of questions what does the damped track do? And what does the volume absorption do? Thanks in advance.

  • @philipkriegel

    @philipkriegel

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks a lot ^^ The track just makes it so that the camera always looks at the object you've selected, so when you move the camera, you don't have to rotate it The volume absorbtion gives physically accurate coloration to the glass and the liquid It's better to use it like that then to use the glass color because it fades when the mesh is thinner

    Thank you so much for the tutorial, I think it's really accurate and well done. I have a question: at 9:42 when I use knife project nothing happens and blender tells me that "no other selected objects have wire or boundary edges to use for projection". I don't really know what to do (I selected the circle and the cylnder in object mode, then re-selected them with A in edit mode and searched for knife project), I would really appreciate it if you could help me!

  • @philipkriegel

    Because I've spent over an hour making the image in the thumbnail, trying to figure out the best settings In the video, I'm sure you wouldn't be interested in watching me tweak settings to perfection for over an hour In the video you have all the information that's needed to make it yourself and tweak it to your liking, since the essence of it is the same as in the thumbnail image, you just need to put in a little work yourself

    Well, the point of watching a tutorial should never be to copy someone's work and call it a day What you learn in the process is more important If I posted a less attractive thumbnail, people wouldn't click on it And as I said Everything is being presented to you, you know how to get the result in the thumbnail, you just need to put in some more effort All the tools, nodes and modifiers are covered to get the same result
