I finally got to this tutorial. The loop tools make this project work. Thanks for introducing them. I had a slight problem at the 6:40 mark where the bevel was not behaving properly. I did a "Merge by distance" on the model and all was well. Now on to the "Glass with Dispersion" tut. Thanks again.

There is really nowhere else worth looking on youtube if you need good glass. This is the place.

Fantastic tutorial yet again! Thank you so much! As an aside, would you happen to know how to get the arcs around the glass a lot sharper? I tried the trick at 5:46 to move the edge loops up or down, but that still doesn't seem to get them as sharp as I'd like. I want them to be about as sharp as they looked in your dispersion glass tutorial. Thank you so much!

I think I just realized I would simply need to add more bevel segments when beveling the edges. Going to re-do the tutorial to see if that works!

So adding more bevel segments (and making a smaller bevel) worked for making the part directly under the arcs sharper, but above the arcs is still not as sharp as the one in your glass dispersion video.

I'll take a look at it later, but basically if you want it really sharp, make it so that you have 5 bevel segments and move the 2 segments from the top and the bottom closer to the center by pressing "G" twice But I do not recommend making it as sharp because it's not really realistic
