Jenny and Natalie are dashing through a BIG, easy star block made with precut layer cake squares. The Dashing Star - or LeMoyne Star - has been a Missouri Star favorite since its debut in 2012. This quilt is fun n' festive with pretty holiday prints from Yuletide Forest by Katherine Lenius for Riley Blake, a candy stripe border, and Christmas Paisley machine quilting.

Can you guys put all the favourite 15 tutorials in a playlist please?
I absolutely LOVE it when Jenny and Natalie do the tutorials!!! Love you guys.
I just love the chatter between you two. Despite that you're building a block, neither one of you miss a beat and everything works out seamlessly! Beautiful (big stars and the shoofly). Love you so much! ❤
The way mum and daughter work seamlessly together is amazing, each instinctively knows where the other is going.

I know, right? They both have their own way, and that’s how it should be, and of course, mom is left handed, Natalie isn’t. Such nice and funny ladies.

It's almost like they've done this before. My mom and I were the same way. She'd say add a Spoonful of such and such, and I would know which sized spoon to use. Miss her!!

What if you only have one print of each in dark and light colors
Jenny is sooooo speedy! I just love mother & daughter love❤ You two are so talented & fun.
“An hour today, is an hour better tomorrow “. What a great quote.
I love big blocks. I cannot lie!
Beautiful quilt. I love the quote that Natalie used. It reminds me of one of my favourite quotes - ‘Every expert was once an amateur’.
I love Natalie’s humor. It’s fun to see Jenny and Natalie work together.
Their gentle ease with each other just puts the audience at ease. Here they are, squaring their blocks, but even as they do that they're reminding us that perfection is not required.
This was one of the first quilt blocks I ever made. I followed the original tutorial instructions and had a blast. Funny thing though...I never joined the blocks to complete my quilt. I am now re-inspired to finish the project 😊! Thanks Jenny and Natalie!
I love trimming the blocks while still folded with the triangle ruler! So fast! And thank you that you both share how you would sew the pieces together. . . . We all process differently, and different isn’t wrong - it’s just different.
Love lemoyne stars. Beautiful quilt! You ladies are always so much fun to watch. Thank you!😊
Natalie is looking fabulous ❤
I loved this pattern 10 years ago and still love it. Thank you for the re-make 🥰
I’m so glad you’re redoing some of the old tutorials with improved methods and tips.
Love watching mother & daughter quilt. So special ❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤ I love stars and big quilts . Absolutely gorgeous !
So Cool! This quilt could actually be DONE IN A DAY. I was just surprised that by using a layer cake you were able to make that single block in less than 20 minutes. And when you only have to do 9 blocks, you could easily do a whole quilt top in just a single day!!! Thank You guys for helping us to make a quilt by using your awesome tutorials.

I did make the quilt top in less than a day after watching the original video years ago. At the time my son was into Star Wars and he calls the quilt “the tie fighter quilt” because the secondary block that emerges looked to him like the star ships in the movie! Kids look at the world differently!

This is the quilt that started my quilting journey. With fabrics that barely matched and an old sheet. Lol thanks for the memories.
I love when these two are working together.
Thank you and I love watching and learning from you guys. You guys are so real and relatable. I love the calm that you guys bring. Natalie you look amazing and I love your confidence.
I love getting a new Star quilt block late on Thursday evening. Beautiful large quilt. I just finished my first Lone Star quilt. Used Hoffman Batiks and made it look like 8 feathers. Gold minky back. Gifting to a young man that has lost his father and younger brother over the last couple years.

I too love how Mom and daughter work together here. I wish me and my 2 daughters could do so well together. It makes me love you both!
Thank you for all you do to help us with quilting
Natalie, I’m so impressed with your fabulous new look! Way to go, girl!
Natalie you look great! It does my heart good to see mother and daughter working well together and enjoying exactly the same thing.
Natalie I was surprised to hear that you had the same issues I have with binding! I have to watch the video EVERY SINGLE TIME because I end up with twisted binding. Glad there’s hope that one day it will click 😁
Hello Jenny & Natalie! I always look forward to your videos together. Sharing your individual methods is so helpful to new quilters. As Natalie said, there isn’t necessarily a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way. They are just different. Thank you both, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I so love the attitude here... and to learn that even the pros had difficulty squaring at first... Im a novice so it really helps to know I am not alone
I just finished my last star in my quilt the other day and am currently working on the rows. I watched Jenny's original video before, and while I worked on mine. One thing I discovered was to get everything to nest nicely, I pressed everything "to the dark side" by counting my light print as the "light" even with the white background. My light print meant pressing to the dark was pressing to the background. Everything nested nicely and made it a pleasure. Thank you, Jenny & Natalie for remaking this great quilt just as I'm making mine! And Jenny said, in the original video, that this was Natalie's " brainchild." Thanks for making videos that make quilting easy to learn and fun! I love them!
Such a beautiful quilt. I am a beginner quilter at 73, but y’all make it look easy. I’d like to try to make it one day. You both our wonderful teachers. Thank you for sharing.❤️
I was so lucky to be able to visit Hamilton on Saturday, after the Thursday Birthday Celebrations. I was visiting the USA and organised the trip to cover this visit. It was a wonderful experience, the staff in the shops were so helpful. Yes, I bought stuff too. Happy Birthday 🎉.
Thank you for teaching me to square up my blocks! It makes my piecing so much better!
What a quick quilt this is 😃 Love the stars and the way it comes together to make the shoo fly too 🤩 Thanks for the inspiration 👏👏🇬🇧
I've been waiting for this pattern for almost 10 years... also know as "The Big Star Quilt"! Thank you so much!!
Great watching you two working together as always.
Love this
I love Natalie work and imagination…. And she looks spectacular ❤
That was a great quilt! Loved watching the two of you creating together 🤗
This is a beautiful pattern. I really want to tell you that I appreciate when you emphasize that everyone's brain works differently. There is no right or wrong, just different. It's always a pleasure to watch your tutorials. Jenny, Natalie and Misty, thank you for all your hard work!
I especially love the "dual process" of the process... it's important to know their is never an "only way" to accomplish something creative!!!! TY for that.. Hugs, GrammaBabs
Love when Jenny and Natalie work together to show us their beautiful work! Also, I want to say how great Natalie is looking! Kudos to you for a wonderful weight loss. I also love your Triple Plays. Keep ALL of it coming, please!!!!!
Jenny and Natalie, I love this block. It makes a beautiful quilt or just the block by itself. It's so fantastic how it comes together. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤😊
I like Natalie & Jenny working together best. They work so well, making my day, a happy day, as I binge watch their videos. ❣️🎉😊
Natalie I love what you said about being ok with being bad at something. My first quilt ever my husband called it the five foot quilt. Because from five feet away it looks good. And its still my favorite!
Easiest LeMoyne star I’veever seen and no Y seams!!! ❤
❤I think I clearly need the clearly perfect square!

I got both sets - clearly perfect and block lock. It all seems to depend on my mood when I’m trimming, which one I use. I do tend to go to the clearly perfect a bit more but I use them both as well as a regular square ruler for larger blocks. Jenny said it perfectly, once you understand what’s going on it’s easy to use any tool.
I love this pattern. It is so easy and quick. I made it with a Halloween layer cake. It worked out well since it uses large sections allowing the skeletons to shine through.
I could watch you and Natalie make quilts, runners, what ever. Love you girls!
I love Missouri star quilt videos!! The problem solving that that we get to see really helps me understand how to do the blocks. I want to make this in a smaller size.
If only we could all sew as fast as Jenny! ❤

Just love watching Mom & daughter working together. Jenny, you’ve brought so much enthusiasm to the quilting world that we love!
Love that Natalie is now working with her mom in these videos. They make a great team. They work great together. Love it! More please.
You guys make it easy
Natalie, I laughed when I heard you say how you use to hate binding, that you would twist it Eric, well I have to say your video on adding a binding saves me every time. I have watched and tried following others and always, always have to pull yours up and then I'm successful! Maybe I'll be able to do it by myself someday but you are my savior
Love this pattern and technique so much
So excited 💜🩵💙🤍
One of my original favorites! So fast and big!
I have made multiple baby quilts with this large block and a few borders of various sizes. They always turn out super cute.
I love you, Natalie! You are so self-deprecating, but you are really smart!
Love the way Natalie and Jenny interact. I feel like they live next door. Have a great weekend. 😊
That is funny to me Natalie about you and the binding because you teaching it is what clicked in my brain!

Love this quilt. Natalie looks great❤
Wonderful quilt!!
I'm so glad you shared this remake of the Dashing Star Quilt! It's such a great pattern, it's earned the renewed attention. Thank you!
Love it!
Thank you beautiful quilt
I ❤ love it!!! Thanks Jenny and Nat
I’ve made this a couple of times, once as a QOV. This is a great pattern and a great choice for a reprise. Well done, y’all!
Jenny and team always have something super clever. They never fail to disappoint! Love the triangle, one cut trimmer. And, like that you could use this in any size square to start.
I love this quilt! I made this out of Star Wars fabric for my grandsons’s graduation and he loved it!
Natalie looks so wonderful and also very happy!!
This was my first quilt, 2014, and Jennie was my first teacher! Right we didn't square back then! And mine was still perfect.
Gorgeous!!!
In nursing, we say that we are on a continuim from novice to expert. Quilting is the same. ❤
It’s always fun to watch Jenny and Natalie. I love this quilt. It is a great one for when you have that fabric you either don’t want to cut up or that is a large scale print. Many thanks for the wonderful video!
I’ve always loved this quilt ever since I saw your first video tutorial. The thought of huge blocks fast was a big motivator! Thanks for showing the various ways to trim and to assemble the blocks.
I just love your attitudes and quotes, Jenny and Natalie! I've been following you for a few years now and have finished several quilts (with a few more quilt tops in the waiting line!) and i've loved every minute of it! I credit you for giving me the courage to try quilting after having given up many years ago. I've been willing to be bad at it, but (i think) ;) i'm getting better hour by hour! Thank you for this precious gift, dear ladies! And Jenny, you're right, nobody has given a quilt back to me yet because it wasn't perfect! With love and appreciation
I love stars and this is just wonderful! Thank you Jenny and Natalie ❤
Natalie is a wonderful teacher.
This tutorial is so informational! It never occurred to me that the stars could be made in smaller pieces with HSTs. I pictured all the star pieces as being cut and sewn in one-piece parallelograms, like in a Lone Star pattern. The Lone Star quilt I made stretched on the bias and warped badly, so I'm not keen on making another star that way. Thank you for showing a simpler way to make a spectacular star quilt!
I love it when a secondary pattern comes around without even trying! I have a Christmas layer cake I think I will give this one a try, with! Happy quilting! 🧵
Love Natalie's quote at 10 or so minutes!
LOVE big blocks and square quilts!!! Grabbing this one!
I love it and 24” is amazing ❤❤
I love star quilts. This one is definitely on my list to try now
I made a twin size using your video for guidance! Thank you!
Beautiful job!! Thank you Jenny and Natalie.
I loved the show where the 3 of you were in Jenny’s work studio and you all worked on unfinished projects. It was so fun. Please do it again. I have chronic depression and your shows calm my spirit. Thank you!
So nice to see you both working at this beautiful pattern😊
Thanks for sharing how to square with a regular square tool that has a 45 degree angle. I appreciate not needing to buy another tool to complete the pattern. I continue to love your tutorials ladies❣️
Looking great Natalie! I wish I knew your secret to your success. Always so good to see you.
Love this pattern! So beautiful! Thank you ladies!
This is one if my favorite quilts!! Love it❤
Love the construction, easy and result looks hard 👍🙌
You guys make everything sooooooo easy, Love your videos, Thank U

I absolutely love this pattern! Thanks for updating it!
