HOW TO MAINTAIN AND RESET YOUR WEEK OLD WASH-NO-GO
@KarenofCurlHouse will provide some tips on how you can maintain your wash n go / curl definition. Re-wet sections of your hair using water, curl refresher, or spray leave-in conditioner. Reapply some of the curling product you used to create your initial curl definition. I used kinky curly curling custard for this style. Use metal clips to stretch the roots of your hair, or to anchor the hair at the root. After the hair dries, use a pick to lift the roots to create volume.

Thank you so much! Yes! I used the curl refresher (or you can use any water based leave in conditioner or just water), wet hair, then apply the kinky curly curling custard (or any gel that you use) to reset the hair.
I have heard that trying to stretch the WnG causes damage: Basically , our hair shouldn’t go more than a few days without some moisture either a refresh or re wash

Hey there! I think everyone's hair is different and you have to figure out what is your moisture cycle -- or how long your hair stays moisturized. Here's a video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWyio9qals-XYbQ.html Also, reseting the hair is similar to refreshing because I typically add more moisturizer to the hair. I can tell you this -- my texture has changed so much that I moisturize my hair every few days now. Thanks for your feedback!
Love your video! Just wondering I have very soft wavy white hair. Your hair looks more course. Will this process work on my fine,soft wavy hair
@KarenofCurlHouse
Жыл бұрын
Absolutely it will work! You if want a firmer hold then you may need to use gel but the technique is the same. And thank you so much!
Thank you for another super informative video can't wait to try it😊
Thanks, my hair has 4 types of hair textures, this has always been an issue for me. Thank you so much. What is the edge control product you used again? The front of my hair is the thickest. Never have found anything to lay it down.
@KarenofCurlHouse

I used Joie Naturals My Gel. It gives decent hold, but doesn't last forever. I think Arcani Coil Edge Control gave me some good hold as well.
Thanks so much🙌🏽👏🏽. I’m a gray natural newbie with a coils twa. I am struggling with dry hair😩. I have a mini twa by day 2. I thought creams and butters were better for high porosity gray hair. Should I try gels instead? Your hair is lovely!!!!
@KarenofCurlHouse

Cream and butter do help to provide moisture to your dry hair, however gels typically give you a little more hold. Try using a cream underneath, then applying a gel for extra hold.

Thank you! 1. Did you let your hair just air dry or did you use a hair dryer? 2. What is the name of the edge control product?

Hello, this is on another subject. Have you heard of XTC products? The reason I ask is because you are a Trichologist. I was told I have CCCA, so I started using the XTC products last month.

I don't use XTC products in my practice, but I have a few colleagues that use that product line so it is a reputable line.
