Honestly out of all the KZread videos about screening that I’ve seen. yours are the best most accurate and professional. I’ve seen a few videos on here where the people are explaining how to screen and they have no clue what they’re doing . I’ve followed almost all your videos if I was a little closer to you ide be asking for a job. If you had someone like me on your crew you wouldn’t need walkboards or scaffolds. At least not for screening . I would 100% be an asset to your company.I’m in pinellas pasco though.I was going down south to northport and Marco island for a month just recently and they’re paying amazing.

Thanks, and yes the Florida Glass screen and super screen are way more difficult. I don't like to walk the beams because of the horror stories I've seen and heard, guys fall and get seriously injured. I don't want my guys to get hurt, and honestly OSHA wont' be too happy to see us doing that. I know almost every company out here walks the beams, but I cant risk it. Safety first. If you move down to the area, I'm always on the lookout for people to add to the team.

@@solidmakersaluminum Oh yeah I’m sure of it bro as lucky as I’ve been I’ve had four or five falls, but adrenaline on the way down. Kind of kept me safe for the fall shit three out of four times I jumped right back up and it look like I fell and hit hard enough to either knock myself out or break something , but you know how it is man got to get the job done last thing me or you were trying to here or on this job trying to beat the light is on one of our man just took a crash for being on careful and now we gotta run him to a hospital or he’s in capable to work now Now Mami trying to hear that so I think the mixture of adrenaline and knowing I got to get this shit screen kind of protected me on the falls but you know it’s just like any job more. You do it the more you come accustomed to it, you get better and better, I always use 10% being careful and 90% is the fear of falling or is it 10% fear and 90% of being careful lol I guess it depends on if my coworkers are slacking off. Lol

Do you look like one hell of a boss man. I really wouldn’t mind tagging along with the crew and knocking out a couple roof for you guys. Have y’all seen me in action I’m an asset to any company I go to.

God bless you for getting it done. But the roller you are using is for windows mainly. You should get a flat spline roller wheel from your screen supplier and attach it to a stanley quick change knife. Also is is imperative that you use the flat spline the correct way, if you were to screen the roof incorrectly you are putting the next guy who walks the beams at risk. The ROUND side should be visible once installed. I have been building pool enclosures for 21 years in east central Florida.

It’s a lot easier if pre-roll the spline groove first. Also the rounded side of the spline goes into the groove facing the panel if you do it the other way it’s in backwards.

Ive seen people preroll also, but if you do that the screen wont be as tight, but yes you can preroll, i just prefer not to so the screen will be a lot tighter at the end.

@@solidmakersaluminum I’m actually a roof guy I hop up there and climb the cage no walkboards or ladders . We’ll I use the ladder to get to the roof once I’m up there I just crawl the beams and perlins I can tackle 1500sq ft roof in a day by myself no problem . 1000sq ft roofs that don’t have a bunch of crazy angle panels or b.s in my way like shingle debri in spline groove.funky angles pinched spline grooves . I can take a standard easy 1000sqft in under 4 hrs.

I hear yah what yah mean with the not prerolling but I can’t agree in my opinion. I never have a problem with them being any kind of loose. There’s small tricks you learn with experiences . Like the fact of having to roll your first side evenly and straight is as important as your tighten side . You can stretch and roll 3ft at a time if your first side rolled is even .
