Dude, this was painful to watch.. First don't simply replace with the same kind of screws as you will be doing this again in 3 or 4 years. Get some nylo tec for the non ground screws and Pro Tec for the ones going into the ground. They are nylon/glass head and you won't get the electrolysis from the aluminum to stainless steel which is what is causing the rust.

won't the electrolysis still happen as the rest of those screws or steel and have to go through the bottom of the aluminum square tube therefore you have contact and rusting will occur underneath the screw head.

A lot of haters in the comments. You saved yourself a lot of money by doing it yourself. Of course a professional that does this for a living might have given better results, but you did what you had to. Great job.

Thanks for vid... Saltwater pool corroded my screws; screen enclosure 7 years old. And... Hurricane Ian, Sept 28, 2022 lifted some of the bottom panels. Unsure if simply using stainless screws sufficient... long term.

Thanks for the comment/feedback! Stainless should help last longer but I would think eventually will rust too. Someone had suggested this product which is interesting but not sure the nylon sleeves will last either? threadsource.com/product/pro-tect-system-for-pool-enclosures-4/

I suppose you can if done carefully to not show the roughness of the holes. But I would always prefer to use the same hole so not to have so many scars on the frames. Thank you!

Hmmm, I have not keep up with the enclosure market so don’t have a clue but my guess would be very expensive 🧐👍🤞

It varies (obviously) by overall size, and your market. In central Florida, even a very basic enclosure will start in the $20k range. I have no idea why they're so expensive, you can get those aluminum struts at HD for like $100 each. lol It's like $2000 in parts, $18k in labor. It's absurd. You don't need a 4 year degree to run spline in a screen channel. lol

So painful to watch is right. Why do you keep touching it for 5 mins after you screw it in. Just painful

Sorry about that lol😅, touching to see if screw secured as the impact sometime doesn’t set the right tension just like you have to re-torque the tire nut after impact gun! Thanks

Too many errors to list … either use a vacuum to suck out drill debris inside hole or use a compressor to blow out debris before putting in new screw
