Yeah I would never recommend doing a cat during a storm at night.... Aha. Did you manage it in the end?

@@CarRambles yes I had to take the top o2 sensor off .and dremel the cat heat shield off dew to rusty bolts ..the cat to turbo bolts looked stretched so got some new 1s from ford ..car up and running ready for stage 2 mapping. Not sure who I.m going with as based in Peterborough and nothing local

Trust me i hate everything about myself for doing it. The plan was to get halfway Thursday evening and complete it Friday morning before work. Once soaked I just decided to send it... lol

I’ve just done mine! How on earth did you do this at night in the rain on the drive. You’re more a man than I am. Hats off to you sir!

@@CarRambles I managed it in 7 hours and the whole time I was thinking how could anyone do this in the dark . Top turbo bolt was a 2 1/2 hour job. Glad I didn’t get a decat coz I’m not swapping cats over and back every MOT!!

iv got a scorpion sport cat ready to fit so the video was helpful. iv got a adapter for mine to downsize from the cat to standard exhaust. got it from aet. sounds like you needed one on yours.

Yeah I wasn't sure if that was a 3" bore size down to standard. As miltek is 2.75". Exhaust systems confuse me. I'm just gonna get a full system soon anyway so I'll take my chances with breathing some healthy carbon monoxide until then aha. Christmas sales! Loving your channel by the way.

Definitely. Currently running it on a stock exhaust and not got any burbles yet however it's deeper for sure and there "something" there in the depths aha. Will be buying a milltek non Res race and hopefully get more from it. I'm not after anything like decel or a cobra exhaust so I'm hoping this is perfect for my needs. Thanks for watching!

How does it sound on a standard exhaust mate you got any videos ? Not to extreme ?

Did you do it on a standard exhaust ? What was the sound difference like

Nice video mate, just about to have a sports cat fitted to mine and was wondering if it was important to replace the gasket between the turbo and the cat when doing it rather than re using the old one? My cat came with a new exhaust gasket but not a turbo one.

It's called a fire ring and they are about £8, hope that helps. Definitely replace If possible

When u installed this? did u have a new map in it? I have already installed a new exhaust, but im gonna buy the downpipe now. They say if you u install downpipe you need new mapping?

If it's a sports cat it should be fine, if it's a decat it may need mapping out but completely depends on the tune

Aha okei. wondering buying the VUDU Decat Downpipe. But already fitted milltek from stock downpipe. So maybe go for the one you have. Are you happy with it?

I have a decat fitted(done by a garage about 4-5 years ago) and I have just bought a sports cat and I’m thinking of fitting it myself. Is the reason people say these are a ballache because of getting the chunky original cat out?

It'll be easier with a decat but the bolts are still hell to get to normally. Just do it when the weather's alright and not like I did in the middle of a storm at night.

Looked hard..maybe daylight may have been better but we'll done. Why choose millteck over other brand's such as mountune or scorpion?

Mountune to my knowledge is basically a milltek exhaust? Scorpion is on the fighting list but the non Res race seems to be the go to for people who want noise when flooring it but has the quietness for normal driving. Scorpion is still in the back of my mind though....

Cobra is too loud for me. It's a fiesta. Not a Mustang. I stupidly loud exhaust in my opinion is silly

Did you use a new gasket for the downpipe to turbo? I’m having mine installed and have no gasket!

Get yourself a firering mate. Any ford garage will have them in stock. Definitely worth changing!!!

Yeah question why don't we put the cat heat shield back on? I have mongoose full 3" from turbo with race cat and the only obvious reason I know is that their is nowhere to locate the shield on the race/sport cat. Surely it's bad.?? I'm unsure just curious as don't want the new cat to melt anything lol

What does the Mongoose sound like with the sports cat? I have full Mongoose from cat back and was thinking about getting sports cat.

Nope only the cat shield needs to come off. Yeah I will never do this again. I didn't realize how involved I was getting and then a storm come... I was not a happy man aha Thank you for following along! Make sure to sub if you haven't already!!

@@CarRambles cheers pal just finished fitting a cobra 3" decat just to find it doesn't marry up to my standard exhaust I've just ordered the full cobra exhaust 2 week wait good thing I have another car there's no way I'm putting the old one back on .What a job i feel like been stabbed all over my body from parts of the car your video help a lot thanks again and I have subscribed

Buy chance do you no the size of the lamba sensor socket?
