I’m going to throw my hat in the contest. I’d love a new loaded pickguard for my Bullet Strat. My wife and I are foster parents and adopted 3 kids. Got an 11 year old boy with an incurable condition called mitochondrial disease. No disposable income to really go around.

This pickguard sounds so great and looks awesome! My birthday is coming up and that would be the best gift ever! Ive wanted to upgrade my cheap squier strat ever since I got it. Ive been playing for 10 months now and that would be amazing!

Been meaning to start a strat project recently and this would be a push in the right direction

I've recently started playing electric guitar for real and I've been having an absolute blast with it. Took my 8 year old affinity strat and put this exact pickguard in it, sounds great! I really love how your content is aimed at guitarists on a budget like myself! It's your content that really made me see what great value guitars squier makes these days. I'm currently quietly hoping to find a good deal on a J. Mascis jazzmaster or a sweet affinity telecaster :) Keep making great content friend!

Lovely tone, exactly how a proper Strat should sound! And for that price too, it punches way above its weight. Also I will enter the giveaway of course, good for my pocket haha. I've been meaning to start a project guitar someday for sometime now. The tutorial should be useful for that. I've been afraid to use a soldering iron on my VM Mustang, but this video gives me courage to experiment. I can find a cheap Strat body and a semi decent neck to start the project and that loaded pickguard would take extra weight off me to achieve that. It's also a good opportunity to experiment with solder. Anyhow, I am very hopeful and I wish good luck to everyone here!

THANKS FOR CLEARING THINGS UP!!, I bought an Asian made loaded pickguard like you have with Three (3) leads. One ground and Two that go to the input jack HOWEVER, the first "How To" install video I watched was made by FENDER. and their loaded pickguards come with FOUR leads. Aparantly having two grounds, one that solders into the Trem claw, and they other screws into he body. Mine has three leads like your. NOW I KNOW how to install mine thanks to your video - Thank You!!, and YES, this is my first time doing this. Bought a beat-up, project fender Strat for this purpose.

I think I should win because I’ve binged watched your squier reviews many times, I’ve loved your channel for a pretty good time now. I have a pretty bad guitar but would absolutely love this pickgaurd. If I don’t win that’s alright, there are people out there that deserve it 100%

Love your channel, especially the demos you do. In your other videos, I came for the demo and stayed for the music. I'd love the pickguard because my squire bridge pickup has shorted, I am a student with no income :(

I have a very nice Squier Strat Standard in Antique Burst with alnico 5s And Tortise PG but I would love to install The white PG with aged white pick up,s and knobs I think it would look great!!!Rock on Rob ☮️ and thanks for another chance to win...... good luck to everyone ✌️

Finally got around to installing the same pickguard with p/u's in my Affinity. Your instructions really helped. My one question is my affinity came with larger pots versus the dime size pots that come with this replacement. How might that effect sound? Ceramic with larger pots; Alnico with dime size pots. The former seem hotter? I did not do a before after recording plus I am a beginner.

I like how it's a white pickguard it would go amazing with my fender my pickups are rusted and could use a fresh new look.

I've always wanted to build a strat kit like you, except my wiring sucks cuz I can't see the wire colors :D having a pickup setup that you like would be cool!

I need that pickguard because my old woman left me before Christmas and left me in the shite financially! So I cant afford any new guitar goodies at the moment and my squier needs fixing up!! In only being honest!! Good vid rob!

I have this cheap Maestro strat, and the pickups are awful very little output, so I would love to upgrade with this pickups.

I hope to win this giveaway because my crappy strat clone needs it really bad. The guitar has little to no money value but it was my first eletric guitar I've bought some 25 Years ago, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Cheers!!!

It's a great Pickguard I think the pups sound better than the current classic Vibe models

Cant complain about the sound of that for 30 quid !

i'm currently modding my own squier strat and i think it'd be nice to save a little time with wiring after i refinish the body :) i'm actually pretty surprised at the quality of the parts for the price, seems like a decent pickguard.

Can we cut the ground wire if we want.(the 2nd red wire)

So i think i need the claw ground to pot back and ground from output Jack to back of pot and then center volume pot to positive output Jack right? If theres another ground wire it will hopefully be in the strat along with the guard already in it. Hoping all goes well. Hahahah

I'd love to win the pre wired pick guard cause I bought a squier strat from 1985 but there's rust on and inside the pickups (don't know if it affects the tone) and I'm not good with soldering so a pre wired one would be quite nice

Can a loaded strat pickguard like this one fit a Samick Valley Arts strat ? I'm have many inexpensive guitars that I've had for years and I want to upgrade them a bit maybe about thtee of them - 2 Squiers.,Yamaha , and a Rockline ( cheapy) that I paid $25 at a pawn shop. I want to soup them up somewhat and get back to playing guitar again . I see many different loaded strat pickguards on Ebay. Please reply with advice . Greetings from Texas .

Who ever wins this will should be pleasantly surprised.....I got one from China a while back for under £20 and it sounds great....more stratty sounding than the one it replaced especially on positions 2 and 4 with a bit more output overall too. Did you measure the resistance of the pups Rob?

Hey. Just trying to cobble a guitar together on a scant budget.

It sounds great for having the small pots it has, I don't really know what the difference between the big pots and small pots are, but it sounds great... though that is more to do with the person playing than the hardware. Keep up the good work, and I hope you did disinfect the box it came in, this Covid-19 stuff sounds pretty bad.

There's no difference in sound. The difference is how they react when you turn them up or down. Big pots feel smoother when turned and you most importantly have better control of volume and tone.

@@davidkastin4240 thank you, that is what I was thinking was the likely difference, but seeing how much people love big pots I figured there had to be more to do with the sound. But better control of volume and tone makes since why people would want the bigger pots.

I lost my wife in a flood and my dog left me. It's been a hard life . I survived major earthquakes and several air crashes . The shitty ceramic bar magnet pickups in my '96 Squier is just the last straw. I don't know how I'll ever get over this . Maybe that loaded pickgaurd might just bring me back from the brink, brother.

i think i should win this pickguard because it would totally improve my tone and by the sounds of it, cut through a mix. i'm currently using a cheap knockoff strat for my band (YouVeeYouVee on instagram) and it just kind of blends with the overall sound and is really nothing special whereas this pickguard will help me stand out as a guitarist. hope you pick me :)

I think i should win because ive been a fan for a while now and i got crapped on a squier strat and it look like it was going to be pretty nice but it sounds like...well garbage.😔

I installed a loaded pickguard on one of my stratocaster guitars and I used WAGO brand wire connectors instead of having to solder.Here is an ebay link to the WAGO brand wire connectors.: www.ebay.com/itm/353426003274?hash=item5249d4d54a%3Ag%3AY0IAAOSwyThgVSvr&LH_BIN=1 You can solder the wires if you want but for me the WAGO wire connectors are a much better option because with the WAGO wire connectors there is no risk of damaging the pickguard or the guitar body with soldering and what's more if the loaded pickguard ever needs to be swapped out for another loaded pickguard then all that needs to be done is to disconnect the three wires from the WAGO wire connectors and attach the WAGO wire connectors to the three wires on the new loaded pickguard and done.
