it took me a few months to like the mint green pickguards on the light blue strats, but I really l like the look. The new pickups sound great!

I am pretty colour blind - just got a Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz bass for birthday - don't like stock pickguard. Got vintage white one on order - but this mint green got me intrigued. Will give it a go

Didn't think that colour was gonna work but it actually does, really well. Was set to buy a first Mex Fender strat, but keep getting distracted to hard tails like a used PRS I also have a workshop but always end up on my knee's somewhere, because its easy and warm, made me smile. Great vid.

I thought the white one looked pretty good, but the mint green looked better than I thought it would, and the new pickups seem to handle the distortion a little better. Good history lesson about the end of hair metal and the onset of grunge in the late 1980s/early 1990s, too! As for the shielding on the new components, that will probably add durability for environmental (aka bar smoke, etc.) factors.

Mint guard on Surf is great! Love it Rich!

Nice color combination! I really like taking something that plays great and making it even more personal with each added modification! I m currently building a VERY orange strat/partscaster myself. Cheers!

I painted an old Squier with Volkswagen Orange - turned out OK. Might get a Capri Orange at one point.

Sounds and looks great.

The original set sounded good for sure but the new ones should give you the stratisfaction you seek! Sounds great!

The $15 setup wasn't bad, but the £55 setup sounds like a strat. Much clearer and good sustain. Nice Rich

@@kmdracer I got an SX strat in vintage white - reviewed it on my channel - to me it is like buttercream - lovely looking and decent sounding cheap strat. I tried spray painting one and oil painting another. Oil a la Frontline guitars worked well.

SEARS ! No kiddin , the 1 i had was more like a jazzmaster from sears . It got me thru to the nxt stage . Thats been a day or so . Lol Love the channel .
