Many times owners will junk the car once they have the estimated prices. Remember 1996-2000 for example is worth less $2K. Labor is more than doing a complete Timing Belt Kit. If you are DIY, then better have 9 hours ready. And you will need more parts.

3:45 have you done anything to losen up those screws?

my civic 2002 got break line leak due to rust. car shop refuse to use a union to fix the broken point. instead, they gave me a qoute of 900 to 3000 dollars to replacement all the lines. I bought this car 4 years ago for 1000 dollars. thinking the money has already been paid back, I decided to fix it my self. I bought a flare tool and 2 unions and 8 inch of tube, and 2 bottles of dot 3. and fixed it! only cost me 100$ and 4 hours of work. cause i need time to bleed the break line.

I would like to do this job myself but i cant find what type of flare is use in this model of honda , could you help me . Pozdrawawiam z Polski.

I just purchased a brake line kit everything fits fine but what they don’t tell you is to bolt everything up you have to bend the lines to fit the brake proportional valve and then you have to take off the brake proportional valve so the lines could fit and put it back this job is not easy it’s a pain in the ass Advise anyone to go to a mechanic and give it to the mechanic

I did come across this. ****Before installing your brake line, shipping bends will need to be removed from the lines labeled BL1127-05A-SS, BL1127-06A-SS. See the video below on how to remove the shipping bend.***

Yes this job IS a pain in the ass! Getting the old front passenger line off was a nightmare. Just finished making my own replacement. Not looking forward to the install. Should have just taken it in and had all the lines changed.

They leave out the part where pretty much every small bolt on these cars has rusted and corroded to the point where it bends small wrenches and even snaps the lines off right above the bolt. I went from needing to replace a rubber line on the passenger front to now having to replace the whole prop valve and all the lines. How in the fuck did yal get those tiny bolts off without snapping the junk lines is the real question. There’s no way those just came off with a tiny ass wrench.
