9:45 Check out my video on zinc!
In this video, we’re going to talk about how to increase your height naturally.
Children typically grow two inches in height each year between age one and puberty-this increases to four inches a year during puberty. Your height typically stops increasing between ages eighteen and twenty.
If you’re under twenty and want to grow taller, this information is for you.
While there is a genetic limitation to your maximum height, you can support your growth with nutrients. Nutrient deficiencies can significantly reduce your height.
Three types of hormones are directly related to growing taller:
• Human growth hormone (HGH)
• Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1)
• Thyroid hormones
Low HGH can be caused by:
1. Zinc deficiency:
• Excess phytates
• Sugar and refined carbs
• Alcohol
• Stress
• Not enough red meat or shellfish
2. Insufficient protein
3. Lack of sleep
4. Obesity
5. Smoking
6. Caffeine
7. Low vitamin D
8. Starvation
Low IGF-1 can be caused by:
• Liver damage-especially a fatty liver from a high-carb diet
Low thyroid hormones can be caused by:
• Iodine deficiency
• Not enough seafood, shellfish, and sea kelp
The best supports to help increase your height are:
1. A quality trace mineral product with zinc (or red meat and shellfish)
2. Pituitrophin PMG (SP)
3. Lots of sleep
4. Avoid phytates
5. Vitamin D3 (regular exposure to sunlight)
6. Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting

So true about the zinc. I was in the 90th percentile for my height until I graduated high school. But I had extremely high levels of zinc even when pregnant before I started prenatals (usually a growing fetus takes it all) I was always hungry as a kid but ate pretty well. Also, all the taller people I know seem to really like cereal. Also, stretching. Almost instinctively I would stretch after sleeping or even when getting sleepy. I noticed my toddler does it as well (also 90th percentile for height).

My brother stopped growing around 18 - 19, then when he was 31 started complaining about extreme growing pains (especially at night time). He thought it was arthritic pain. But shockingly he ended up growing 2 more inches. Went to see his doctor, the doctor got scared thinking it was cancer or something, they sent him to specialists, the specialists said yeah it happens. Its not common, but it happens. So all the nonsense of growth plates and their knowledge of growth and the body is obviously wrong.

I’ve always felt nutrition probably played a key part of height. I’m Latino, my dad was born in the mid 1920s and he was about 5’8” which was actually kinda tall for a Latino man, back then. My mom was 5’4” which was a decent height. Born in the early 60s, I’m 6’, my two younger sisters are 5’6” & 5’9”. I can’t help but think food in the 60s didn’t have all the additives & genetic modifications like today. Both my parents were good cooks and we ate balanced meals with a wide variety of vegetables and meats, including many organ meats that were not typically consumed by Americans at that time. I’d say that a good diet gave us kids 4 inches of height on our parents.

I think our family maybe unusual. We all stop growing around the age of 14. So we are really tall at a younger age but then others start to catch up years later. My youngest grandson is 6 ft 4 in. He only grew an inch after he hit 14. Plus we tend to get our puberty growth spurt starting around 10 years old.

You boys are 5'4 at 14 though. Perfect time to figure out how to grow more. I didn't start puberty until 14 years old so I also got some lateness but from 14 I grew from like 5'4-5'5 now I'm about 5'10 with good posture. I searched up so many things to grow taller, I now basically accept this height (which isn't even bad), in fact I'm pretty tall compared to the average person when I walk around. In college though it's a little tough seeing all these 6 foot plus guys. Go do stuff. Sleep full 8 hours, stretch a lot, swim or play basketball, eat a LOT of food (but healthy foods), and at the end of the day, consistency and positive mentality. Good luck buddies.

Hello Dr. Berg... I noticed in the video you stated that Pituitrophin should be taking for 3 months. I want to purchase for myself as I'm pre menopaus but also for my 12 year old son to Maximus his growth. would 3 months be the max timeframe for the both us of since we are using the product for different reasons?

What's a good trace mineral product for zinc? I don't really have access to red meat or shellfish much and would like a product I can buy instead.
