You are right. "Man code", "street code" whatever you want to call it would tell you to be confrontational but that could get you arrested and a short sentence for simple assault could turn into 10 years in prison due to prison politics depending on where you live. It sounds like a movie script but that shit does happen.

yup, and you'll also come to a realization that men who compete for women don't get it, because they are too crude and unrefined to respect the fact that you just don't bother couples, period! i think the working out and getting the confidence, and then confronting those insecurities as a confident person will always bring wisdom to that person. then they'll get over this unhealthy mindset of being reactive and defensive in a tense situation and just take things as they come and keep composure.

Funny thing is, as i was listening to the question my tought was "what do you do?, Nothing". I was good friends (not even couple) with a really beautiful girl (blonde hair, green eyes, not so common in my country) and a few times while we where hanging out she was approached by other guys with lines like "Hey, why don't we talk and get to know each other" or "why don't you come talk to a real man", she just looked them dead in the eyes and answered "No", some went with "why?" and then again she just responded "i don't want to" and then turned to me and continued talking as if they weren't there. I didn't had to do anything because she valued the time she was spending with me and shut them down immediately, and i wasn't even her boyfriend. if your girlfriend can't give you that level of respect, why bother? I believe you only have to step in if she refuses the approach and the guy doesn't take a hint. (but as established before by the video, why would you put yourself in those situations to begin with).

That’s happened several times to me I just say ‘Go with him BYE!’

A level of disrespect from the guy has occurred in a situation like that. This almost happened to me, and it wasn't at a club. We had just gone out to eat chicken and while we were at the table some guy comes up to tap her on the shoulder. It pissed me off the moment I saw this about to happen. I don't look like a threat but let me tell you. His hand, only lacking 2 inches from touching her shoulder, refrained when I looked at him. He immediately walked away, and left the building. I get it that it's probably not good to fight over a woman, but something like that feels like a disrespectful slap in face that deserves a response. I think the reason he considered making that bold move was because I did nothing earlier when I saw him checking her out, and I wouldn't say I look very threatening either. I agree with the video. Basically.... If you want to date an 8 or above then you too should fit the image. Otherwise another lion is going to come up and try to take your place..... or should I say take your turn. We're not too far from the animal kingdom, and we can probably learn a thing or two from the discovery channel.

it's years later but to those who read this and share the experience if a strange male person touches a female unmerited, like in this case, i would say it's ok to speak up, just stand firm and have a discussion on why the touch and you know that can almost be assault, because assault doesn't have to involve an aggressive contact initially. i believe one can still handle themself rather gracefully and walk with an air of confidence despite not being overwhelmingly huge. i'm sure that this aggressor was more even in terms of physicality so it wouldn't take much to shoo them away by simply speaking up and responding with a corrective tone.

If you can handle the situation, throw your arm around him and keep it there, like you were best friends. If he's too big/crazy to deal with, tap your girl on the shoulder and say "Change of venue, you coming?" And walk away. If she stays or complains, leave her behind

Completely disagree, I used to be a student of RSD, and they would teach us to approach EVERYONE, even girls who were out with guys because you never know their relationship. So "it never happening" is silly to say. On top of that, its normal for girls to engage in conversation with guys, so to say "you're with the wrong girl if she talks to other guys" or "don't take her out" is dumb too. She probably will, with or without you around. What's worked for me is to just be chill, and don't react. Hell, you can even introduce yourself to the guy if you want, sit back, and let him waste his time. MOST guys' game isnt good enough to take a girl away from you on the spot. However If its starting to seem like his game is a little too good and your girl is getting more and more hooked, simply say "hey babe, lets go over here" or "lets grab a drink", grab her hand, and move her physically around the bar. After this you can plant a kiss on her or grab waist or whatever, just bring her back to you. MOST girl's wont let even let it get that far, so its a 1 in 50 type situation, but I just wanted to share my experience. Protip: Most guys suck at conversation so you can just sit back and watch the convo die with a little grin on your face too. That's priceless.

It's not the other guy's fault! If he's single, he can do whatever he wants. It's your GIRL'S fault!! If she engages with the other guy, dump her! I'm sick of idiots getting aggressive at the other guy.

Many dudes have gotten arrested unfairly for hitting on another guy's girl in a club. There is no discourse or solution except when the police come. They decide for you. It is the worst place to try to try to solve an argument--a loud club or bar

One guy sticks his head out the window and starts hollering. Ther next thing you know, the side door slides open and the 3-4 guys in the back start also. A VERY odd predicament to be in.

I've had 2 "incidents" of disrespect in my life, as far a being in company of a female and a 3rd party Male trying to be smartass. But it never went to the extreme of really approaching her... The 1st guy was with a pack of 6/7 friends, we were at a funfair on a "date" in our teens. He seemed to be talking about her to his friends from afar. Until his eyes met mine, and I nodded and winked at him in "approval", when he got embarrassed 🤔 as Jesse Lee Peterson would say BETA!!! The 2nd one was on vacation in France, and we were pulling up outside a nightclub. 3 of us guys, and 1 of my friend's father's girl on the side-side (he's a player). A 19 year old Russian model type, that used to draw too much attention. She came out the car, and this guy in the line (with 1 friend), must've heard her speak Russian to my friend, and felt bold enough to make a crude comment (in French) about having sex with her right to her face. She didn't understand a word, but I did as I was walking around the car. Needless to say, an argument ensued, and when my friend's understood what he had said, things got a little heated. He was apologetic, the security told him he wouldn't be getting in, and we enjoyed our evening.

I've had it happen, we went to a strip club (already a bad start) and some drunk guy came up and started offering to buy the girl I was with at the time a drink. This guy didn't take no from either of us as an answer (granted she was giggling and smiling while saying no). It got to the point where I about punched him in his face after he flat out dissed me. He was still aware enough to know he fucked up when I about threw hands.

Usually at the club from my observation, a guy usually hits on the girl because she be in the far off corner by herself and the guy is on the other side of the joint with his friends. So a guy that approaches the girl often times doesn't know or isn't aware she's with anyone because she appeared like she was by herself when her man is in the room.

I'm secure with my appearance, but one pestering element is that I have an "approachable look". I'm 5'3", 140 lbs young boy features with a comb-over. I get all types of people off the street haggling me for whatever, as opposed to my brother who is 5'11" diesel AF with a beard and no one dares bother him lol I'm glad you said this scenario rarely occurs, but when I'm out with my girlfriend I think about it ALL THE TIME

Wow, my perspective. This can happen for a number of reasons. I have seen it happen and experienced it myself. It can happen because; 1. First date and you are not sub- communicating that you are with the girl. It other words - not alpha. You are acting like she is a friend. 2. You are a short dude. 3. Your girl has been making eye contact with other eyes communicating interest. Girls do dumb shit like this to test the guys she is with. If you catch your girl doing this dump her ass right away. Either way, this is very serious situation to be in.. Donovan's advice is great! But I would also recommend first seeing how your girl reacts. She needs to check him right away. If she does not, then you can take the cool witty approach and clown him. Immediately start making fun of his clothing choices and masculinity. Clown him right in front of your girl. This will cause her to laugh and lose any attraction for him. This elevates your status to her. The other option is you've got to stand strong and tell the guy to fuck off in a cool calm manner. A last option and not the best is to grab your girl and move to another area. But you need to give her a good excuse for moving like, "Let's go get those cool drinks at the bar I told you about." Then wish the luck in getting laid that night. Bottom line if this happens it is a very serious deal if not handled in the right way.

Tbh my girlfriend and I are both tired of others trying to hit on both of us. (Im also a girl). There was this 1 time that this dude wouldn’t stop trying to chat my girl up when she kept pushing away, giving him signals to back off, rejected him, block any contact that he tries to have with her, and she even has to hold onto my arm tight and keep her eyes and body close to me to let him know I’m with her and she’s with me. She’s even straight up said that she has a girlfriend so leave her alone. But he kept asking if she was taken when he KNEW that I was with her because he’s seen us a couple of times walking together and being very affectionate. She’s even told him more than once that she’s taken by me. I had took step in the first time this issue occurred when she told me about him and let him KNOW that he need to back off. I wasn’t being to “macho” nor I wasn’t going to let him see me as a push over either. To make a long story short my girlfriend and I are still together and he’s officially given up after at least 2 or 3 days.

I'm 5'4" nerdy white medium build guy and I've never had another man hit on my girlfriend in front of me. So it's not just a stature thing, though I'm sure it helps. I've always had plenty of confidence. Amusingly I had a girl hit on me in front of my girlfriend. We went a restaurant, and the server was bringing me extra items I didn't ask for, and showing interest in me being very flirty. She was "forgetting" things my girlfriend asked for. While I was amused by what was happening, but I was like my girlfriend is going kill this woman. My girl was so ticked off at what was happening despite the fact I wasn't about to entertain anything this girl was doing. She had the nerve do this in front of her all the same. My girlfriend is 6'4", a tomboy who's played more sports than I have and this tiny little girl would been destroyed if she opted fight her. I wasn't sure what I would come back to when I came back from the bathroom; a check or a crime scene. Needless to say we've never gone back there heh.

Easy let her deal with it. If she shows signs that she enjoys it and doesn't instantly check the guy leave. If the guy continues slap him!

Sit back and watch, if your girl is in to it and starts flirting with the guy, your girl didn't like you much and is looking for another guy. If she gives the guy a dirty look and brushes him off, you're golden, if he doesn't back off at that point you can intervene. If your girl is digging the guy and you get jealous and start trying to shut it down, it's pointless because she'll get mad at you and so will he, and you're fighting for a girl that's a cheater. A girl that is in love won't accept advances from other men. I had a girl cheat on me once, so I dumped her. She got all mad and told the guy I was rude to her and he starts trying to fight me, I'm like buddy, I'm not fighting over a cheater, I was done with her so fighting held no benefit for me. Plus she had decided to grow a granny bush and smelled not so good anymore and I wanted out of the relationship anyways. Honestly, don't go fighting over women, I've almost got in a few fights for a girl and in retrospect it's not worth it. You go fight some guy and you hurt him, you're going to jail, court, lawyers, etc. He might hurt you, now you have teeth missing or a mashed up face, and the women can still leave you at any point. Fighting over a women is actually pretty beta behavior, and relationship equity doesn't exist so there is no point.

I had a guy at a party who was totally drunk off his a$$. My wife (then girl friend) tried diswaiding him. I told him she was my girlfriend three times and to lay off. Like I said he was seriously drunk. The host pulled him off when she saw my patience was done. He came back one last time. I ended it at that time. Sometimes some poor schlub gets wasted and does not know when to back off. And sometimes it comes to blows but not before she tells him to back off and you have told him to back off.
