For the slow people he’s saying to wash your hair and condition it then cut your split ends after braid your hair and leave it in for a long period of time but you have to oil it and stuff and this “Meeking “ process allows blood to flow through so it can grow 👌🏽

Wolfed for a month (4 braids into bun) grew about 2 inches. Let hair breathe for a week and now I’m week 3 into a 2nd wolf. Once your lines start disappearing that’s your new growth pushing through.

Been “Meeking” for 3 years and 2 months. I usually keep my styles between for 4-5 weeks. I wash, condition, etc with my braids in. Just be careful when you all take out your styles. It’ll be worth it. The growth will be insane!!!

@@varnesb8546 . I keep it basic. Wash, deep condition(sometimes). Then that’s it. Throw some protein in your routine ever now and then, just to keep your hair strong. I don’t moisturize my hair throughout the week. I just wash my hair and that’s it. My hair is to the middle of my back. Avoid heat if you can. Always keep your hair stretched(a style) and take your time when taking it out.

The meeting technique is exactly what I’ve done for years the tension from braids makes good blood flow and allows your scalp to break down anything blocking it this also can be done by messaging your scalp with oil having any types of twist will make you natural hair oils stay in your hair longer and be produced faster it also helps keeping the hair in one pattern for a long time just like brushing while wolfing keeps thick waves braids keeps thick curls which is why people twist there hair and leave it for about 20 hours and take it out for curls that will last about 2-3 weeks

I've been meeking for a while now. I keep my 4C hair in two strand twist. I twist my own hair. Been doing it for years now. I've been natural for 5 years now and my hair is half way down my back when its stretched out. The shrinkage gets me sometimes. I normally oil my hair every 3 to 4 days. I also switch up with just moisturizing my hair. I don't trim my ends unless I have to. I normally keep my twist in for 3 months. Its been working for me. Keep up the good work. I did Meeking in middle school and kept the process going by getting the fresh braids and leaving leaving it in for long periods of time by the time I graduated in 09 my hair was past my shoulders. I just got rid of my faded curly Mohawk and have been growing my hair out for 4 months now. Its long enough to braid now so I am about to start the Meeking process.

hey king brill, love your content all the way out here in 🇯🇲. Been doing this process for years with the braids the oil and the do-rag over extended periods, I means like 1month and a half to 2 months especially if I rope twist it, it lasts even longer.

Just got some braids I’ma keep them in for 7 years don’t worry about it 😂

DAY 1: Just got my hair braided. Will update my comment each week! FIRST WEEK : Week went well. been using daily moisturizers and oils. the braids are getting frizzy but i think im doing a good job at maintaning them.I wanna try to keep them in for 3-4 weeks. reply to my comment if you have any advice for me! will be back to update next week SECOND WEEK : Week went well, still have been using daily moustrizers and oils.One of my cornrows is starting to open up toward the middle. thinking about getting my braids redone saturday which should mark my meek process 2 and a half weeks. will try to go for a month when i get my next braids. gonna try to keep the ones in longer than saturday. but it all depends how i feel. I noticed that when I had box braids my hair grew even longer and faster by a couple of weeks I guess the hair oil is compress by the braids that keeps it moist for a long time once I took out my braids it was still moist from the braids that been compress.

Can you get retwists during the process and do you suggest continuing your hair care process with the twists in? Like deep conditioning or cowashing when needed or just stick to the oil?

Or just buy some styling gel or twist gel and apply to your hair and keep rolling/twisting you hair clockwise until it’s tight by the way start with the back of your head and work up and after that you are going to heat your hair with a blow dryer so it’ll stay in tact so all and all it’ll look like dreadlocks a.k.a. Locs

Very true whenever I had twist transitioning into locs my hair grew fast af, but with just a fro the growth is so slow.

You could also remove braids, oil treatment massage, and stocking cap so you dont lose I don this around 3-4 times a week for 2 weeks, because constantly pulling hair into braids you'll lose alot of hair when it's time to take it out
