Hi Zara.. Thank you for replying so quickly..my shires name is Miss Mazikeen Smith.. I've had Clydesdales all my life.. and decided after the death of one of my beautiful horses after 23 years id like a blue roan.. after searching for ages I couldn't find one in England..I did find one in Sweden but having no passport I didn't go for her and choose a blue roan shire instead.. she's so full of mischief.. like a giant puppy.. so different from the Clyde's, but she's amazing..have backed her last year so that's exciting and have a Clydesdale expecting her first foal in June.. which is super exciting..Maze is 4 and Wilkie is 6.. Take care and I'm so excited to start.. just have to learn how to sketch or project.. Thank you.. Sue

Hi Zara..I'm totally new to art and I've been looking for a pastel tutorial of a horse..I found this one all be it in graphite.. you say it's your horse..a young shire.. I've got a young shire.. she's a blue roan but her head is very similar looking to yours.. have you done any pastel pictures of your beautiful horse as I'm desperate to try but want to try with pastel..you have a lovely way with your teaching and I think I will be able to learn.. I've only done 1 picture before which was in pastel and don't want to confuse myself further..as it doesn't take much 🤣.. also do you do a tutorial on your initial sketch.. do you use a projector or free hand.. Hi Sue, Ah! Really. What's your Shires name? They're wonderful aren't they?! I don't actually have a pastel tutorial of him yet but it is my plan to I just want to decide on the right photo. He's only 2 so he changes so much as he grows that I just need to pick which one I want to draw. But he's on my to draw list =). My Shire is a bay though. I do have a grey horse tutorial on Patreon and that would show all of the same layering processes, colours etc that you would need to use in your Shire drawing 🥰
